Recorded on the morning of Norways National Day the 17th of May in a park west in Bergen. Spring is in full effect, and the dawn chorus sounds wonderful! Recorder: Sony PCM A10 Mic: LOM micro Usi as "tree ears"

This is a short clip of a longer project I´m working on. Recording the fjords in the western part of Norway. As the whole world was tired of 2020, there was a lot of fireworks to mark the end! I rigged up my Røde NT-SF1 in my backyard, and recorded the whole celebration. Location: Bergen Mic: Røde NT-SF1 Recorder: Zoom F6

My better half and I, spent the better part of a week camping on an inhabited island north of Bergen called Skarvøy. It is a very interesting place, both in location and history. Now covered in vegetation, this island is rich in sounds from several species of birds, rodents and the seasonal sheep and goats. This night, I dropped my Sony PCM M10 with my trusty LOM Uzi´s in a tree, facing the fjord and nearby islands. There was quite a lot of wind, and the recording is clipping on one or two occasions. But I kept it in, as I feel it has its place in the soundscape. As seen on the picture, the fjord is right in front of the mics. And there is a strong current audible during the whole recording. You can also hear a distant machine once or twice from ship traffic Other than some most needed low frequency cutting, there is no additional processing made to the recording. As I celebrated Christmas with my family, in a cabin far up in the mountains, I had the opportunity to record a frozen river. it was obviously not completely frozen, as I could hear running water under the ice. I recorded in several different places, as the sound changed every time I moved the microphone a few centimeters. What you get to hear, is a short compilation of some of the recodings I did that cold Christmas morning.

Rain without any wind is a rare thing here in Bergen. Here is a soundbite from the downfall recorded in my yard.

As we have moved in to a new house over the summer, the uploads has been few. The roof of the house is being replaced, so the only thing between the autoum rain, and the attic, is a thin tarpaulin. The sound was dark and quite relaxing to listen to
