This season, our focus is on finance as we interview creative and other professionals about financial planning, insurance, multiple income streams and other relevant topics. Singapore's First Masterchef Zander Ng

Zander Ng won the first ever MasterChef Asia in 2018 but his journey as a chef is only the beginning. He shares what he has been up since his win, initial challenges when he ventured into freelancing and building up a sustainable career around his passion for cooking.

Zander Ng, also known as Singapore’s first Masterchef winner, cooks from the heart. He won Singapore Masterchef 2018 after weeks of gruelling rounds, wowing the judges with his knowledge of Asian flavours fused with Italian Cuisine, two cultures closed to him as he has both Italian and Chinese heritage. A homegrown Singaporean boy, Chef Ng is soon to publish a recipe book detailing his range of recipes, and he has just finished filming his first YouTube cooking series.

Power Couple's Success Behind Huge Hollywood Movies with Kew Lin and José Nieuwstad

Self doubt can hit anyone, but it is especially pervasive in creative careers where success can often come from subjective works. Has the impostor syndrome ever held you back? What challenges do you overcome to feel worthy of getting paid for creative work? We speak to filmmaker Kew and VFX artist José about what it like compete against the best in the world, as a creative couple living and working in London.

Kew Lin is a writer-director who is currently based in London. He has most recently co-written British feature film Love Possibly, which premiered at Raindance Film Festival and notably receiving the Best Screenplay award at the Sochi International Film Festival.

Fluent in Mandarin and the local culture, Kew often travels to China to make ethnographic documentaries. His credits as visual effects artist include Interstellar, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Bridge of Spies, Spectre and The Hunger Games series.

Kew’s fourth fictional short film just had its world premiere at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Germany.
