Top Men Files: Sankara Stones (Indiana Jones Lore)

57m · Published 29 Jun 09:30

Mythellaneous is the show for exploring the ancient mythologies and historical writings of different cultures. An opportunity for exploring the older tales our modern books, movies, comics, etc. are based on. From the classic Greeks under Zeus to the original tales about the Ark of the Covenant, the goal is to learn more than what's on the surface and share it with you.

Welcome back to Mythellaneous! It’s been a few years, but we’re back with some fun, new episodes. For the next few weeks, we’ll be going back through the Indiana Jones franchise and talking about the various MacGuffins that have made them so famous.

Let's talk about the Sankara Stones! Brandon, our resident Indiana Jones super-fan, dives into where the idea for the Sankara Stones came from! They're the only MacGuffin in the franchise that doesn't exist... or does it?? He dives into specific mythological and historical accounts that made up the artifact from the second Indiana Jones film: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
