Joe shares insights into the work he's been doing in schools across Long Island to combat the negative impact of bullying. His efforts have garnered recognition from policymakers, leading him to become an integral part of the Task Force with the New York State Government. Joe's work is not only impactful on a local level but also gaining attention and support at the state level, reflecting the significance of his contributions to the cause of ending bullying.

Joe Salamone is a Long Island native from Deer Park. He is the founder and Executive Director of the The Long Island Coalition Against Bullying, a position he has held since 2013.

A victim of bullying himself, Mr Salamone’s vision is simple: to reach as many children and families experiencing bullying as possible. Under Mr. Salamone’s leadership, LICAB has quickly emerged as a pioneer organization fiercely advocating for children and families impacted by bullying and proudly working with many Long Island schools and organizations to maintain and enhance their bullying prevention curriculums.
