A Cry for Help – BTEp11

35m · Published 16 Apr 18:00
Biblical Talks In this episode of Biblical Talks, SD and Lady V discuss Psalm 57:1-11 New International Version. In this passage we find David in great distress. He is crying out to God for help because King Saul was pursuing him. Why? because Saul was jealous and threatened by David, thus, he wanted to kill him. For that reason, David cried out for help that could only come from God. You see, David understood that God's wisdom and understanding is better than that of any other. Now, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read Psalm 57:1-11 New International Version. If so, what are your thoughts? If you haven't, no worries, we've got you covered. Either way, come go with us in your bible or bible app. Also, go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post or subscribe and listen via your preferred podcast platform to follow along. Then get encouraged by joining Lady V and me in this Biblical Talk — A Cry for Help. Scriptures Referenced in Episode Discussion Psalm 57:1-111 Samuel 231 Samuel 24Romans 10:9-10John 3:16-17Numbers 6:24-26 Receive your Free Gift of Salvation – The Gospel of Jesus Christ Explanation If you are reading this, it is not by chance. This is your time to receive the Gift of Salvation through Christ Jesus. Now, you may be wondering, "Why do I need that?" Oh, I'm so glad you asked. The Bible says, that because Adam ate fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil -- he released sin into the world. And ultimately, Adam's sin brought death and death spread to everyone. No doubt, you may be thinking, "Of course, everyone is going to die." But, my question to you is "Where will you spend eternity?" Because there is life after death. In fact, when you die you go to one of two places -- heaven or hell. Also, it is important to understand that, Adam’s sin also brought an eternity in hell. But for those who choose not to receive the free gift of eternal life. Thus, you must make that choice before you take your last breath. Romans 5:17 New Living Translation says, “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.” To sum it all up, Romans 6:23 New Living Translation says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” So, if you are reading this, don't let another day go by without receiving this life-changing gift. Scripture Romans 10:8-10 New Living Translation says, “8 …“The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Salvation Prayer Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I want to follow You, Jesus. I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead. By faith, I receive You, Jesus Christ, and your gift of grace. Ordered Steps – BTEp9

37m · Published 20 Feb 19:00
Biblical Talks One of the many things I've learned over the years is that my plans for my life are not always what's best for me in the long run. In particular, I refer to those moments as redirections. And when I take the redirection, I end up exactly where I'm supposed to be. As a follower of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I believe God has ordered my steps and all I have to do is be obedient. Another thing I've learned is that if I'm not obedient, God has a way of getting me back on track. Glory to God! In fact, for those who don't believe in Jesus, He has a way of reaching them as well. And we see an example of this in Acts 9:3-23 New Living Translation. Here we see that Saul/Paul a Pharisee [Jewish Leader], finds that out on the road to Damascus. He was on his way to hunt down followers of Jesus Christ but his encounter with the Lord Jesus forever changed the direction of his life. God ordered his steps. Now, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read Acts 9:3-23 New Living Translation. If so, what are your thoughts? If you haven't, no worries, we've got you covered. GRACIOUS PROVISION: Feeding the Multitude – BTEp7

33m · Published 31 Oct 17:12
Biblical Talks In this episode of Biblical Talks, we discuss Mark 6:30-44 New Living Translation. This passage shows the gracious provision of Jesus of Nazareth. And how he feed the multitude--five thousand men and their families. Furthermore, we see His deep sympathy and compassion for those who made the choice to follow Him.Thus, Hewould meet one's physical and spiritual needs. Because Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. When looking at this further, the parable of the lost sheep paints an excellent picture. So, let's look at Luke 15:3-7 New Living Translation. “Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. 2This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people—even eating with them! 3 So Jesus told them this story: 4“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? 5And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. 6When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ 7In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!” Now, here are a couple questions for you. Simply Simple – BTEp6

39m · Published 26 Sep 18:00
Biblical Talks In this episode of Biblical Talks, we discuss Mark 10:13-16 New International Version. If you are thinking, “What is simply simple about this passage?” Well, in this passage people were bringing children to Jesus. Because they wanted Him to lay His hands on them. Now the disciples reprimanded the people for bringing the children to Jesus. But when Jesus saw this, He was angry with the disciples. In Mark 10:14-15, Jesus says, "14...“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” The beauty of this passage is that we all can come to Jesus of Nazareth. Sadly, some people are lost and don't know it.  But the good news is Jesus of Nazareth is in the business of seeking and saving the lost. And Zacchaeus is an excellent example. Why? Because many of the tax collectors were dishonest. Hence, they were 'lost' in the sin of deceiving others.  Moreover, the people of that time viewed Zacchaeus as the worst of the worst. again, because he was a chief tax collector.  In Closing Now, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read about Zacchaeus, the chief tax collector? If so, what are your thoughts? If you haven't, no worries, we've got you covered.  Either way, come go with us in your bible or bible app to Luke 19:1-10 The Living Bible.    Also, go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post to follow along.  Or subscribe and listen via your preferred podcast platform.  Then get encouraged by joining Lady V and me in this Biblical Talk — Lost and Found  Scriptures Referenced in Episode Discussion  Luke 19:1-10 Jeremiah 1:5 Romans 10:9-10 John 3:16-17 Numbers 6:24-26   Receive your Free Gift of Salvation – The Gospel of Jesus Christ  Explanation  If you are reading this, it is not by chance. Come into my heart, into my life, and be my Lord and Savior.  Listen to We R S.H.E.Talks Podcast  Use the web player above this blog post to listen or subscribe and listen via your favorite podcast platform.   Bible Study Resources  Holy Bible [NLT, NIV, ESV, NASB, NKJV, KJV]  Bible App by YouVersion  NLT Chronological Life Application Study Bible  Read the Bible Online – Bible Gateway
