Exercise Prescription for Rheumatoid Arthritis Blog Read

7m · Published 11 Mar 06:00

Welcome back to the blog! A change of pace from recognition this month as we look at actually treating/managing/rehabbing! Exercise is a vital component of Rheumatoid Arthritis management and unfortunately people with RA fear it and don't reach their targets for activity.

The recurrent features are back with legend of the blog and music with Kasabian at the bottom of the page.

RheumMates - Exercise and Inflammation with Dr Ai Lyn Tan

36m · Published 25 Feb 06:00

And we are back! RheumMates is fast becoming my passion project speaking to these amazingly cool clinicians in Rheumatology. This month I am joined by Mike Dare and we had the absolute pleasure of interviewing Dr Ai Lyn Tan. Dr Tan is a Consultant Rheumatologist, Associate Professor, researches arthritis, mris, muscles, ultrasounds and runs EVRY DAY. She is truly awesome. Make sure you follow her on Twitter for the latest and greatest research.

We discuss a myriad of topics relating to Exercise and Inflammation, many of these questions come straight from my courses and clinicians are always keen to know the answers. Ai Lyn provides these in absolute bucket loads.

What is Rheumatology? Blog Read

7m · Published 11 Feb 06:00

We are back, another week, another blog. I have been thinking this week about Rheumatology and its place in the hearts and minds of MSK Therapists. While I was thinking about this I found the start of a blog I planned on writing about 2 years ago and it triggered me to write this. I am going for a shameless request this week to increase visibility. Why not suggest it to a colleague, tag them on social media or bring it up in a training session? Its much more fun when we learn together!

I can't tell you how excited I am about this podcast!

Professor Dasgupta is AMAZING, he has led the line on writing PMR guidelines, developing fast track clinics, teaching Rheumatology and just generally being an awesome guy.

We delve deep into PMR from a primary care perspective, he gives excellent detail on recognition, management, investigation, differential diagnoisis, diagnostic uncertainty and wow, this might take a couple of listens!

Find the Professor on twitter here he runs webinars that are invaluable and packed full of information, details are on his feed, I will see you at them!

Please subscribe to the channel and if you are on iTunes, leave a review (5 stars ought to do it)! See you next time!
