There is a shorter lifespan in Indigenous communities than nearly every other area in Canada, caused by a major lack of healthcare in those areas. In this episode, host Grant Rice talks about why indigenous people are unable to get the healthcare that they need and some methods that should be able to help with that problem. He also talks about how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the indigenous way of life and how they figured out how to not rely on the government for help and instead took it into their own hands. This episode includes input from many Indigenous healthcare professionals and a couple non-indigenous healthcare workers who have close ties with the indigenous population.
