Season 1 Ep.8: Finding Resilience, Stability and Contentment with Lacey Lloyd

38m · Published 15 Mar 19:13

In this episode, Lacey Lloyd talks about the transformation she has gone through, almost as a coming home to herself.  She shares how Breathwork has brought her Resilience, Stability and Contentment as three pillars for her life.

Lacey manages to offer the most practical and understandable description of Breathwork I have heard to date. I appreciate this on so many levels. It is my goal to hold space and help as many people as possible. The challenge is, not a lot of people know what Breathwork is and when they hear about it, they are just not sure it's for them. I think it scares some people off, especially when it gets super woo woo, the way Meditation used to 10 years ago.

One way to ensure people get help they need is to make Breathwork understandable and relatable. To make it something people are curious about and interested in trying for themselves.  Lacey does this in today's conversation.

Lacey can be reached on: Facebook and Instagram @Renewed Living Yoga

As always, I can be reached on my Facebook page or my Facebook Community Celebrate and Reinvent Yourself, Instagram @opicoaching and finally my website (www.opicoaching.com). I would love to connect and help you explore if Breathwork is for you.

With gratitude,

Suz

A little about Lacey:

A little more about Kerry:

Kerry Veitch has been connected with rebirthing breathwork since she was 19. In 1994 her first rebirthing session in the US,  along with some well-chosen books ‘Living in the Light’ & ‘Creative Visualization’, (selling 7 million copies) Shakti Gawain, really shaped Kerry’s life. With some more breathwork sessions over the years with Kerry’s auntie, Lynn Veitch who has been a breathwork practitioner for 37 years, the connection became more of a ‘calling’. Kerry now works closely with Lynn and recently produced an event - Breath of Our Ancestors.  Kerry is certified with an AIR Diploma in Rebirthing Breathwork, is an Alchemy of Breath Breathwork Practitioner and Teacher, and is also lucky enough to also have studied with Dan Brule amongst others. Kerry has a BSc Hons in Psychology and Sociology, and has also graduated as an energy healer. She is on the committee of the British Rebirth Society, which supports Rebirthing Breathwork practitioners in the UK over the last 40 years. She is also a practitioner member of the International Breathwork Foundation. Kerry founded The Sacred Breath her own breathwork practice and Breathe A Festival of Life , an annual weekend retreat that celebrates all modalities of breathwork in 2018, with the intention and capacity to spread the incredible, transformational work that can be done simply by using the breath.

A little about Robert:

I am honored to introduce you to Robert Bahedry from Los Angeles, CA. has been his home since 1995. He's a self described mutt from Iraqi & British heritage with some Turkish spice thrown in for good measure. He's a father of two amazing women who are the light of his life.

Robert is a certified Breathwork Meditation practitioner in the 3-part breathing technique, that is taught by David Elliott. He stumbled upon the practice in 2009 at a time in his life when he was in search of a healing modality that would complement his burgeoning yoga practice. He had just completed his yoga teacher training only to discover that, alas, it was not his calling.  Then came Breathwork, and it changed his life in an instant.

Robert has been teaching and practicing since 2010 and has discovered that creating a sacred, safe, yet lighthearted environment in his sessions is a very powerful 'ice-breaker.'  He grew up on a healthy diet of Monty Python so irreverence, general silliness, and self-deprecating humor are often top of the bill.  An abundance of levity is very much present at all of his sessions. It's a great way to put everyone at ease, as he holds space for people to breathe, heal, and transform.
