Q&A: Performing Better at the End of the Season + Behind the Scenes of the Sandbag Challenge Series

34m · Published 24 Sep 22:13

MAP exists to bring hope to people, to equip them with the necessary tools to achieve a happy,  fulfilled life. Training this way (challenging but hitting PRs 24/7) is one of the best tools we believe available for people who want to live their best life as it gives the confidence boost to overcome the things that have been holding them back the most.

-

A couple of the BIGGEST questions we have had recently revolved around performance at the end of the season (how to stay on top of training and nutrition) as well as how to trust yourself more and more in the weight room. As we unpack these loaded questions, we also got caught up talking about the Sandbag Challenge we use at MAP Clinton with our athletes. It is a purposeful pain that we have seen create absolute monsters as of lately.

Q&A: MAP Covers YOUR Questions.

38m · Published 05 Aug 23:39

Welcome to episode 1 of our monthly Q&A series. Training has been one of the biggest resources in impacting our lives. There is infinite value to be gained from the process of training whether you are a young athlete, a parent of a super busy athlete, or anybody looking to find ways to enhance their experience of this life we all get to live. At MAP, training goes beyond the weight room. When you are ready to see HOW it does that, the answers will start showing up. You are the only one who can choose what you project out in life. What you choose to project will come right back at you creating what we know as reality.

Question #1

How do you get past that mental block of when you DONT want to train, but know you still should?

Question #2

What are some tips on how to get in enough food even when I am super busy? *Most of the individuals we work with are nowhere near close to eating enough.

Question #3

What are some good snack ideas?

Question #4

Why do we train in groups at MAP Clinton and why are those of us who train online told to find a training partner?

Question #5

How does somebody mentally handle more and more training year after year?

Arnold Bound with Jake Immerman Post Back Injury and Moving to Cincinnati

50m · Published 17 Feb 22:41

Weeks out from his trip to the Arnold, Jake took some time to sit down in Cincinnati to share his journey as a raw powerlifter utilizing the conjugate system.

If you want to make it to the top, learn to overcome everything along the way. How? You just choose to do it.

On a side note, never once have I heard this guy complain about a single obstacle. Jake is as real as it gets and us here at MAP can’t wait for you to catch some inspiration off this episode.

Training for more. Leaving an impact w/former collegiate baseball player, Law Greiner

52m · Published 27 Jun 01:00
Caring about people doesn’t always mean being the nicest. Telling the truth, no matter how hard it is, that’s caring about people. On this episode, we cover a ton of information on Law’s background, how training applies to life, and more about why MAP started and where it’s headed. It doesn’t matter where you’re at. It only matters where you’re headed.

MAPodcast with Bishop McGuinness Strength Coach

37m · Published 04 Mar 04:12

Two strength coaches and a former collegiate athlete walk into a room... the rest, you'll have to tune in to hear. Considering just two years ago we all were in such different positions, it's insane to see where we are all now. Wherever we all end up over the years, one thing is for sure, we will help people no matter where we go.
