Her skills landed her a job working as a NDTR for an insurance company and a spot on the Board Advisor for the Milwaukee Area Technically College Dietetics Technicians. As a Nutrition Education Specialist for the SNAP Education Program in South Carolina Joy spends her days educating elementary age and adult students on how to eat healthy. Being an Academy member has been beneficial for her career. She has utilizing resources such as the nutrition magazine and was a recipient of Dietetic Technician of the Year for the 2020 SCAND). Joy's career is continuing to expand as she is working with a grant to educate the public on how they can become properly credentialed Nutritionist, and has her eye set on the RDN credential.
