24m · Published 19 Oct 09:44

n this episode we talk about the reality of supporting a family member with learning disabilities.

Michael has been nice enough to come and open up from a family member perspective, through his personal experience in caring for his brother.

From a young age, Michael has been caring and managing communications with the authorities and other stakeholders on behalf of his parents due to language barriers and a lack of resources provided by the local authorities.

Which in some cases; with some non fluent English speaking families, a lack of communication can have an effect on access to the resources available for the individuals who need it.
