That Gut Feeling - Doing it for the kids Podcast

by thatgutfeeling

That Gut Feeling is here to educate and inspire mums and mums-to-be to take their (and their family's) gut health to the next level. Hear incredible stories of health transformations from everyday people, as well as from professionals from many different modalities and walks of life. Each generation is getting weaker and weaker, and sicker and sicker, and at a much earlier time. Gut health is a major contributor to this. Whilst this podcast is for mums or mums-to-be, it is the goal of creating a healthier future for our babies that drives founder, Toni Dingle, to spread such important, inspiring information. Her goal is to transform the way women view health, and support lifestyle changes that lead to a healthier gut and happier home.

Our Gut Garden, How to Nurture and Grow a Healthy One - Kirsty Wirth

47m · Published 08 Jun 20:00

Welcome to the second installment of the Doing It For The Kids podcast/videos series!

Today on the podcast, I talk to Kirsty Wirth from Kultured Wellness. For as long as Kirsty could remember she had health problems. But it wasn’t until becoming a mum that she realised that something much more serious was going on. Feeling “not quite right” had bigger consequences than she had ever thought possible. When Kirsty's son Noah became very ill and was diagnosed on the autism spectrum, she became determined to do anything she could to change the course of their lives.

Kirsty's mission is to reach more people and families in the community, and to be able to spread the word about how fermenting can be an easy and powerful way to nourish the gut microbiome for good health.

Terminal diagnosis kicked into remission - David Burnett -Vitamin Foods Inc

1h 6m · Published 26 May 05:13

Welcome to the very first instalment of the That Gut Feeling, Doing It For The Kids podcast/videos series!

Today on the podcast, I talk to David Burnett from Vitamin Foods Inc. David shares his incredible story that begins with him sitting in his mother’s oncologist’s conference room, hearing, "The best we can hope for is that your mother could survive five years at best with this terminal cancer diagnosis, only if she took chemotherapy, radiation treatments and a stem-cell surgery that in and of itself could kill her.”

After the diagnosis, David's family, their lifestyle and culinary business drastically changed. Not only did this new dietary lifestyle put this “incurable” cancerous disease into ten year remission (without chemotherapy, radiation treatments or surgery), but it also gave David the wisdom and platform to include this newly acquired knowledge within the food science and health consultation departments of Vitamin Foods Inc.
