On today's podcast, I am lucky enough to be joined by Australian international rugby player Scott Sio. Scott has represented his club side the Brumbies over 100 times and won 59 caps for Australia. Scott shares some of his most memorable moments from his career so far, including what it was like to play in the 2015 World Cup final and also what it was like to be apart of the winning Brumbies side to beat the British and Irish Lions, the first Australian club side to do it in 42 years. Throughout the conversation we discuss what it takes to make it at the highest level and the mindset required to continually strive forward to get better and better. We also discussed the importance of setbacks, failures and injuries and how they are often our biggest teachers in life.

Recently Stevie made the decision to retire from Rugby League at age 27 due to concussion, something that is a real concern in the world of collision sports at the moment. During the chat we spoke about life after rugby and what life has really been like over the past year living  and recovering from a brain injury. This conversation is really open and honest and we also discuss finding your purpose, finding fulfillment and finding ways to look after your mental health. During the conversation we spoke about the accident and how his life changed. We also spoke about the lessons he has taken from his experiences and how his mindset has now changed to one of strength, resilience and fortitude.

This is definitely one of the most inspiring conversations I have ever had. Henry teaches us to enjoy those moments of happiness and what the power of everyday gratitude can do for you.

Lloyd is an age grade international for Wales and has represented the Ospreys over 120 times in his career as well a captaining the side on a number of occasions.

In recent times, Lloyd has set up his own company called “Living well with Lloyd Ashley”, which he runs alongside his rugby commitments. A company which prides itself on offering an Inclusive space to live a more health lifestyle both physically and mentally.

Lloyd is a fantastic advocate for promoting positive mental health, he offers tips and techniques that we can all use to better our mental health in a time of uncertainty.

Lloyd’s great work has seen him become appointed as the Welsh Rugby Player’s Association Mental Health and Well-Being Lead, as well as becoming a Hafal charity ambassador.

During this conversation today, we get into what life is like as a professional rugby player. As well as talking in depth how we can all better look after our mental health and how important it is to talk about things that maybe weighing us down and by doing so we can end the stigma surrounding mental health.
