Episode 09 - Susan Story

1h 9m · Published 08 Aug 15:00

My next guest has been living with, and more accurately, thriving with a terminal cancer diagnosis since 2002.In this episode, we'll discuss the numerous and creative ways she refuses to let the diagnosis kill her.

And then, she will share what cancer has taught her and what kinds of inventive ways she expresses herself as a result.

I first met my guest in 2011 when she donned a Wonder Woman outfit and marched in a Seattle area parade to promote a non-profit organization that raised funds for bucket wishes for children dealing with cancer.

Since then, she's written articles for her blog, jumped out of airplanes 40 times, even after she broke her back in a skydiving accident, climbed nearly every peak in Washington State and now, she swims in the frigid waters of the Puget Sound.

I'd like to introduce Susan Story to InSpiris Audio Magazine.

I discovered my next guest as I cleaned pools in Key West in 2019. As a creative person, a novelist and digital storyteller, I sought to listen to podcasts by people walking their creative journey.

Dave Szweduik produces a few different podcasts, but he captured my attention with Adventures in Creativity.

We spoke for nearly two hours on a number of subjects related to life, creativity and the importance of being and doing. Of course, this episode is edited a bit for time, but I saved all the best parts.

I'd like to welcome David Szweduik to InSpiris Audio Magazine.

Episode 05 - Tom Trimbath

1h 11m · Published 13 Jun 15:00

My next guest wears many disparate hats. He's a photographer, a writer, a former Boeing engineer, which means he worked on rockets and aerodynamics.

He's ridden a bicycle across the united states and strolled across Scotland. He and a friend have their own podcast that focuses on Whidbey island writers. Whidbey island is situated in the Puget Sound, north of Seattle.

And this is where I met him when I began publishing InSpiris magazine in 2008. He wrote a column for me, for which I was very thankful.

He still writes and still shoots amazing photographs, but currently, his professional life has led him to real estate, which allows him to socialize with all manner of new friends.
