Mysterious Circumstances

by 13 Stars Media

***EXPLICIT LANGUAGE***
-Crime/Mysteries/Paranormal/History-
- A podcast that dives deep into the unsolved and interesting, with an unpolished and unscripted “pirate radio” style. If you like a conversational style podcast about mysterious stuff, you'll love this!!
From 'PODCAST MAGAZINE' : Host Justin Rimmel does a solid job of making listeners feel like we are in the room with him while he shares particularly weird cases he comes across. If old-fashioned true-crime stories are your thing, you will certainly find them on Mysterious Circumstances, too. Justin also does a good job of being a bit skeptical when covering cases. While he doesn’t discount anything paranormal from the start, he does bring in reason and common sense. Whether you are looking for something a little different from the typical true-crime podcasts, or a little scarier, give Mysterious Circumstances a listen.

The Notorious Blackbeard

1h 26m · Published 17 Aug 00:25
Blackbeard, aka Edward Teach, Thatch or Treach, is one of history’s most famous pirates, who became a huge figure in American folklore. Little is known of Blackbeard’s early life, and his origins have been left to speculation. Blackbeard was first heard of as a pirate late in 1716. The following year he converted a captured French merchantman into a 40-gun warship, Queen Anne’s Revenge, and soon became notorious along the Virginia and Carolina coasts and in the Caribbean Sea. Before his death in November of 1718, Blackbeard was only an active pirate for less than two years. So, why is his legend still so well known?

The Death of Matthew Flores

18m · Published 30 Jun 01:52
March 24, 1994: Matt’s ninth day of training for his new job. That morning, he arrived at work and parked in the middle of the lot. As he exited his car, Matt Flores was shot once in the back of the head at point-blank range. He probably never even saw his killer. And incredibly, even though there were 22 people in the parking lot at the time, nobody else did either. Then the investigation was held up by bad luck. Despite the presence of several security cameras in the parking lot, the killing itself took place in a blind spot of the cameras. So, why would someone want Matt Flores dead? Family and law enforcement couldn't even come up with a motive.

The official ruling is that Hendrix had aspirated his own vomit and died of asphyxia while intoxicated with barbiturates, citing "insufficient evidence of circumstances." It was recorded as an open verdict. Was it an accident, suicide, or murder?

Then, on June 16, 1959, he was found dead. Reeves’ death may have been ruled a suicide, but not everyone believed it. While Reeves was depressed at the time of his death, there were oddities at the crime scene. Which leaves people with this unanswered question: Was it suicide or murder?
