42m · Published 31 Aug 16:00

Hello, and welcome to a special wedding episode of Life on the Brink!

I am married. I’m a married lady! It’s very strange, but I really like it.
As many of you know, I got married last month, July 31st, and I’m so glad to be on the other side of it. It’s been a wonderful time, lots of ups and downs, and today I just want to share what it was like to plan a wedding in the time of Covid 19, as well as a warm little recap of my wedding day.

In this episode I'll share:
-Some of the specific trials I faced as a bride in 2020
-A recap of my actual wedding day
-My advice to brides who are planning their special day
-This week's Little Joy (hint, there's tea), and a playlist from my wedding reception

Plus listen to the end where I included the piece of music I walked down the aisle to, it's a duet recorded by me and Josh!

Today I'm sharing just a couple things that I have been implementing that have actually really helped me enjoy this crazy time.

2:The Quarantine Garden Phenomenon + how to start one

26m · Published 14 Jun 23:00

Hello, and welcome to the second installment of Life on the Brink!

Today we are exploring the phenomenon that is the Quarantine Garden. You can find the hashtags all over social media, revealing pictures of precise raised beds, containers on balconies, and small but satisfying harvests.
And as it turns out, this trend of turning to the garden in a time of panic is nothing new. It’s actually part of a much older war-time tradition that has simply resurfaced in a new way, so today I’d like to share some of my historical and personal findings in this year’s garden season. It might even empower you to start one of your own!
Plus, stick around for this week's Little Joy and my custom gardening playlist.
