Global FC is launching a girls' soccer program! On August 7, they'll host an Open Soccer Clinic for girls ages 6-10 at Northeast Middle School. Come learn more about soccer, have some fun, and experience the community that is Global FC.

LEC works to reduce barriers to increase Latinx educators in K-12 classrooms. Elizarraraz shares LEC’s establishment, current efforts and collaboration with RevED. Throughout, she provides significant data about the importance of their efforts, its effect on students and the success and growth LEC is seeing.

Missouri Humanities is dedicated to enriching lives and strengthening communities by connecting Missourians with the people, places, and ideas that shape our society. They recently moved their Kansas City office and exhibit into the Kansas City Museum's Carriage House.

On May 19, the Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association received a Neighborhood Rising Fund grant from Community Capital Fund in the form of a check for $4,850. This NRF grant wholly serves as the foundation for the Pendleton Heights Fairy Lights & Murals Project.

The neighborhood has been working on making their alleys safer, bringing the community together, and clearing brush and debris. This two phase project includes clearing the alleys and installing solar powered "fairy lights" and murals painted by KCAI students with input from the community.
