Overcoming Self-Doubts

29m · Published 19 Sep 07:00

Another week, another story to share!

This week's feature is the first of a series of podcasts featuring ICX Network's roster of talents.

To start it off, this episode highlights the skillful KV Azucena—a student, a musician, an entrepreneur, a pageant titleholder, and best of all, a loving son. We sat down with him and talked about his musical journey and its roots—from being in a choir to busking performances.

KV tells us about the meaning and importance of music in his life. Briefly pausing from it for a while when he started college, he finds the passion for it again through the ICX Network.

You'll get to hear the heartfelt encounters he's experienced because of his singing, as well as the lessons and self-realizations he's learned all throughout.

If you got inspired by KV's story, be a champion of music!

Creative KuLaborations Between Siblings

35m · Published 15 Aug 05:00

To battle the restlessness our minds continuously experience, all of us had resorted to doing new things: maybe something we've put on our bucket list for so long, or something entirely we've never imagined doing in this lifetime. Others eventually discovered their passion in things they've considered their creative space.

With schools postponed and leaving teens with a lot of time in their hands, what better way to kill it than by staying at home and going online? Thanks to the age of online media, digital art is thriving, social media content writing is blowing up, and starting a podcast is easily accessible to anyone who wants to try it.

Such is the case for siblings Kurt and Lara, who developed KuLab—a personal passion project where they create their own content, share their thoughts and realize the value of other people's stories. In this episode, you will hear the impact KuLab has had on Kurt and Lara, who thrived and grew, not only as siblings but as individuals as well, with this experience.

"Why not give it a try? Just take the first step, just do it."

There Is No Shame In Asking For Help

1h 14m · Published 01 Aug 03:00

The world stopped in 2020—figuratively, of course.

When the pandemic hit the globe, it greatly disrupted us from the norm we’ve been used to for as long as we can remember. It changed a lot of things around us, affecting not only our routines but also unsettling our mental health. In this episode, guest Luke Trasporto talks about giving importance to taking care of our mind’s well-being, most especially in these traumatizing times.

Luke is many things, and aside from being a football coach, he’s passionate about being an advocate for mental health awareness. Being a person who struggles with his inner thoughts himself, Luke wants to educate people about the topic, wants to prevent them from reaching the point of suffering he had experienced and encourages people to ask for help. “Ask for help! We do not know the things that we need to know. We are challenged because we don’t know what to do. Go to the right people, talk to a trusted friend.”

Deep dive into this conversation with Luke, where he generously tells the story of when he first realized he was struggling, what he did when doing the things he loved was no longer enough, and how he has learned a lot since then, becoming who he is now—a person who advocates for mental health.
