Tower of Power might be one of the most under appreciated acts of the '70's.  If you've never listened check out this gem of a ballad from their hit album, Bump City.  It tells a slightly unconventional story with cool harmonies, fun vocal improvisations, and the horns... good gravy!  The horns!
