We're trying a new format on the Roundtable today. Each Roundtabler is choosing a couple podcasting news items and we'll discuss. I think you'll find the format very informative. I'm already enjoying the format just reading all the chosen articles! One of the stories I've chosen is about asking for ratings and reviews. "Do podcasters really need to beg for ratings and reviews?" What do ratings and reviews really do for your podcast? In short, in Apple Podcasts, probably not much...at least for the algorithm but they might go a long way to get more people to sample your podcast. 

How do you find your audience when you've just started your podcast? You created a show and now you want people to listen and subscribe. But where are the subscribers? How do you get in front of new listeners who would be interested in your content but don't know you exist?

Beyond a microphone, what other podcasting hardware can you add to your setup? When do you add a new piece of hardware and what will actually make a difference to your sound versus just looking pretty on your desk...cause knobs and LEDs are fun;)

What else does podcasting need in order to grow in 2018?
