Liking a Person's Energy is Different From Love

2m · Published 11 Oct 03:37

Liking a person's energy means she or he emanates something that makes us feel good. We feel we benefit from that emotional presence, or from a physical, professional, or financial connection.

In this type of relationship, the focus is not on the person, but on ourselves, and on the benefit that a person's energy brings us.

Love, on the other hand, is about a heartfelt connection and experience of oneness with someone else that is self-sufficient in its own existence. This means that even if it’s not reciprocated by the other person, we don't get affected by it, we don’t long and linger and feel empty. We’re just grateful for that person’s existence, period.

Where there’s pure Love, there’s no suffering. When Love is present we don’t think in terms of beneficial exchanges. We think in terms of oneness and a higher, subtle, peaceful connection that is beyond and immune to negative emotions.

This is because there are different levels of existence. Matter is in one level, Energy is on another level, and Love is on yet another level, which we may refer to as the realm of Higher Consciousness.

To make things simple, let's think of them as the Physical level (mostly related to survival), the Energy level (mostly related to pleasure, interpersonal relationships, and our social, professional and financial life, which is where "liking a person's energy" resides), and the Higher Consciousness level, where we find Love and many other virtuous essences and subtle vibrations reside.

Sometimes, whether we realize it or not, we may like a person's energy for selfish reasons. We are focused on what that energy brings to us as "benefit". There's nothing wrong with that, but if we want to expand in consciousness and awareness, we must understand where our perception, our motivations, and our thoughts are coming from.

The Energy Level is a state of existence in which our awareness of self and others seems very clear and very real, but it can be devious and selfish. It includes separation and dualism and may create and express conflicts and power struggles.

When Love is present we do not think in terms of beneficial exchanges. We think in terms of oneness and a higher, subtle, peaceful connection that is beyond, and immune to negative emotions. This is a Higher Consciousness Level of being that can only be felt and is beyond words.

When we develop Higher Consciousness, even if the Love we feel is not reciprocated, we feel as one with the other person and there is no suffering.

How does this resonate with you? Do you know people who love unconditionally and are aware of it? Let us know how you feel about the difference between liking a person's energy and Love.

Do You Only Hear What You Want to Hear?

4m · Published 11 Oct 03:29

Let’s talk about observing and accepting the truth, as opposed to insisting in situations that create suffering and stem from attachmentstubbornness, and resistance to change.

That attitude ultimately creates stagnation and drags us down.

There’s a story about the Spartan king Leonidas, which I’m sure you’ve heard about, because there are so many movies, books, and articles about this story, with many different versions, including a famous Hollywood movie inspired in Frank Miller’s work called 300.

In one of the many versions of this story, general Leonidas, king of Sparta, went to the oracle of Delphi to ask about the outcomes of the outnumbered Spartan army going to war against the Persians in that specific moment in time.

The oracle psychograph the following: "You go. You will conquer. Not die there. " interpreting that, King Leonidas went to war, and ended up dying with his 300 Spartan soldiers.

After his death, in this mythic version of the story his son went to the Oracle of Delphi to ask what had happened. When he was shown the psychograph paper, it read: "You go. You will conquer not. Die there. "

So the Oracle had actually told Leonidas not to go to war.

The opposite of what he wanted to do, of what he wanted to hear, and the opposite of what he interpreted.

Now, what does that story have to do with you?

When we need to make crucial life choices, myths and archetypes can be useful tools.

King Leonidas didn’t really want to hear anything that went against what he wanted to do.

In this version of the story, he didn’t want to hear the truth, he only wanted confirmation for his beliefs and blessings for his plans. Anything that suggested otherwise would be either dismissed or distorted by him, consciously or unconsciously.

When we need to make important life choices, it’s normal to get confused, scared and feel attached to what we want or believe to be ideal. But life sometimes has other plans for us and we must learn how to listen to other possibilities and adapt if needed. Things that might be better for us, and that we haven’t considered or even imagined.

Ask yourself if you only hear what you want to hear, regardless of the signs, indications, advice and literal facts that life constantly brings to you.

5 Languages of Consciousness

4m · Published 11 Oct 02:21

Depending on our levels of awareness, they can be kind, or intense.

The kindest language of consciousness is the language of symbols & signs in waking life.

You may hear the lyrics to a song, or see a movie, or different people will mention the same story or a specific word that may intuitively guide you in what you have to do or where you should go.

Another way consciousness speaks to us is through meditation. In meditation, we get insights, but this requires discipline. We must be willing to hear consciousness, and take the time to slow down, sit down, and meditate for at least 5 or 10 minutes.

Ideally, every day, but if it's not possible, at least twice a week.

If we're not paying attention or taking the time to hear these two subtle languages, Consciousness may speak to us through dreams.

In this case, we discern the dreams that come from Consciousness from ordinary dreaming.

Ordinary dreaming is just a cleansing mechanism used by the subconscious mind to clear away unnecessary information from everyday life. Consciousness dreaming, on the other hand, is a powerful language to expand our awareness and bring insights, very much like the signs and symbols we see in waking life.

If we don't pay attention to symbols, signs, insights & dreamsConsciousness will speak through more intense or aggressive languages, such as accidents & diseases.
