25m · Published 15 Jul 20:11
Today we share about our vision as an organization and what our next steps are to continue to serve our mission for our community. The Love the Green Life Wellness Center, Cafe & Vintage Shop will be the change we want to see in the world. All of us are in dire need of services that make it easier to choose the green solution. Our organization; Love the Green Life, offers a beacon of hope with the most effective courses, guides, media, and events to carry us into a healthy future. Love the Green Life is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational service organization that specializes in cruelty-free, chemical-free and compassionate living. We encourage a more eco-friendly lifestyle through coaching, a vintage shop, our podcast, a weekly radio program and an annual conference. We dream of offering the eco-conscious market a permanent gathering space with a zero-waste vegan cafe, wellness events, and our vintage shop. It is our ultimate goal to be a visible environment of active change in Northeast Ohio. We dream of a space that honors our local history, highlights vegan cuisine, and attracts visitors from all walks of their green journey. We often greet our listeners as our “Green Team”. Let’s face it, we all want to be a part of a supportive team. The Love the Green Life Wellness Center, Cafe and Vintage Shop will be our headquarters. We plan to become a demonstration model in many ways. For example: we plan to hold a catering license so that we can safely offer local vegan grab & go meals, bakery items and farm-to-table fast food. We have vendors in line. Local food artisans, chefs and baristas, all who have chosen to join our mission. The best part of being on the Green Team is that we accept everyone on their journey to a better planet. Will you join our Green Team? Will you be the change we need to see in the world? 66. The Conscious Consumer

39m · Published 17 Jun 19:52
Today's episode is a little change up! You are going to hear a conversation Natalie had with ecommerce consultant, Jason Shepherd. Natalie had the ability to be a guest on his podcast The Real Heroes of Ecommerce and discusses what it means to be a conscious consumer. All of us here at Love the Green Life have different levels of conscious consumerism. We are pretty careful about the things we purchase and buy and as a 100% women owned nonprofit organization, almost all of us as women are the main buyers of stuff for our homes. We hope to debunk some myths as to what a conscious consumer looks like and is portrayed and hope to push your ideal consumer view. Conscious consumers are the consumers of the future. We are the people who are going to be making the decisions that drive the commerce in our country. We need to vote with what we put in our grocery carts. Hopefully you will gain some insight from this episode. Head over to Jason's podcast, The Real Heroes of Ecommerce on instagram @therealheroesofecommerce and take a listen!  If you need help with meal planning and grocery shopping, we would love to assist you and give you the tools you need to be a conscious consumer! In this episode we share what to look for when selecting clothes and accessories and how to support the companies that are doing the right thing for the environment and our future generations. We discuss Fair Trade, B Corp, Cruelty Free, Vegan, Sustainable Practices and GOTS.
