Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix | 19

42m · Published 23 Oct 07:01

When news broke that Vanderpump Rules co-stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix had split amidst a cheating scandal, the internet went wild. The Bravo show is no stranger to messy drama and infidelity, but this particular betrayal got fans especially fired up. Why? Because it had everything an audience (and a programming exec) could ever desire: a polarizing leading man, a sympathetic girlfriend, cast members hurling outrageous insults at each other, restraining orders, and a wild, uncensored Andy Cohen-hosted reunion show - broadcast live! In this episode, we'll dissect what happens when a decade-long romantic relationship implodes in the public eye, igniting a cultural moment where we collectively grapple with heart-wrenching drama and the urgent need for popcorn refills.

Joan Rivers and Johnny Carson | 18

43m · Published 16 Oct 07:01

They were the king and queen of late-night TV until it all came crashing down. Johnny Carson reigned supreme as the host of "The Tonight Show," and by his side was Joan Rivers, his trusted protégé who became a star with her biting comedy routines. But in 1986, Joan did the unthinkable—she left to start her own rival late-night show. Her shocking exit provoked Johnny's wrath; he reacted by imposing a lifelong ban from his show, severing ties permanently, and refusing to utter another word to her. In this episode, we're diving into the ego trips, power struggles, and sexism that fueled one of Hollywood's most infamous feuds. But the story doesn't end there—Joan's legacy still packs a punch, inspiring shows like "Hacks" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel."

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall | 17

40m · Published 09 Oct 07:01

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall portrayed best friends Carrie and Samantha on Sex and the City. But behind the scenes, they were anything but friendly. There were major pay discrepancies, bitter contract negotiations, plenty of online sniping, and a reboot that excluded Cattrall's character, enraging fans. Add all that friction up, and just like that, we've got an A-list feud.

Gone Dissin’ - Be Right Back

2m · Published 02 Oct 07:01

Hey Diss and Tell listeners! What are we calling our listeners, Sydney? Do we have a name for them yet?

In my mind, I call them “Old Tellers.”

Sure, I like “Old Tellers” or “Lil Dissers.”

Oh.

Anyway, it's Matt and Sydney. We're hitting pause to really hunker down in our pop culture war room. You know, just picture us. Endless cups of coffee. Walls covered in timelines.

Red strings connecting everything.

Like full on Pepe Silvio with the strings, bloodshot eyes. We're really dedicating ourselves to the subject of celebrity feuds.

Keeping tabs on everybody.

Oh, absolutely.

I don't know about you, Matt, but I've got some pretty good stories coming up.

I don't know. I don't know if you can top some of the stories that I have coming up.

Okay. Does one of yours involve a Brainworms-ridden cast on Bravo, cannibalizing themselves because one member had an affair with another member of the cast, cheating on his life partner, that also happens to be on the show?

Hmm. I see that and I raise you. Scooter Braun. Okay. One of the most hated men in Hollywood currently.

Alright, okay. What if I told you that I have a little tale about an alleged scammer who painted her apartment floors white – though did not move piles of clothes from the floor before painting. And then also, for many years, sold people books that did not exist. But then got sold out by her former friend/ghostwriter. Do you know who I'm talking about?

I don't know her, which are famous words from the Feudster that I'll have for us, who has clashed with Jennifer Lopez, Eminem, everybody under the sun.

But of course, while we're off doing our sleuth thing, you can catch up on some of our earlier episodes. Britney's book is coming out next month. So, if you want a little refresher, our first two episodes of this show are all about her and her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.

So go give those a listen if you haven't already.

Yep, and we will be back on Wondery Plus on October 2nd. To listen early and ad free, subscribe to Wondery Plus, an Apple podcast, or the Wondery app, or listen wherever you get your podcasts on October 9th.

Stay messy, “Lil Dissers.”

“Old Tellers” Or I'll take you out back.
