The Defense Department is looking at a 2025 deadline to make better use of artificial intelligence. To meet that goal, the Air Force and Space Force are looking to upskill airmen and guardians to better understand and work with this emerging tech. The Department of the Air Force is also working with the private sector and academia on projects to better use of DOD data needed to power AI algorithms. For more on all of this Federal News Network’s Jory Heckman spoke with the department’s Chief Data and AI Officer, Eileen Vidrine.

The Small Business Administration is bringing all its certification and loan programs onto a unified digital platform called MySBA. Larry Stubblefield, the deputy associate administrator of SBA’s Office of Government Contracting & Business Development, says bringing this data onto a single platform will improve customer experience.

Thomas Beach, FDA’s associate director for data governance, said the agency is looking to create a master data management system that will help the agency “understand what we're doing in terms of common efforts to provide success on the mission of public health.”
