In our last episode, we talked about the beauty of bridging different identities in an interracial and interfaith relationship. However, an additional layer of complexity and challenge in many interracial and interfaith relationships is in family. In this episode, Hussein and Stephanie open up about their recent challenges with family unacceptance.

The two dive deep into how rejection and unacceptance have shaped their relationship and how they navigate these challenges. 6. Interracial AND Interfaith: How do we do it?

An interracial and interfaith relationships bridges together intersecting identities. It encourages us to see the world in a way that goes beyond the lens we were taught growing up. Stephanie and Hussein spend the next two episodes doing a deeper dive into their interracial and interfaith relationship. They explore all of the different identities they bring into their relationship as Chinese, Filipino and Lebanese second generation immigrants as well as their spiritual identities.  

In episode 6, they talk about the beautiful parts of being in an interracial/interfaith relationship and how they have been able to navigate their differences. In episode 7, they'll dive deeper into some of the challenges and nuances when building in conversations about family and unacceptance.
