Finale (ft. Alexia Datario)

1h 56m · What Does It Take? · 13 Dec 07:59

Today, I had the Korean Cultural Club's President for 2022, Alexia Datario, on my podcast. We take a trip down memory lane and discuss our pasts, the performance from each of us this year as the President and her one of the Heads of Dance, and we speculate about the ideas, goals, and observations with regard to 2022 for KCC. An episode for the ages, I imparted knowledge, and I even learned a lot myself during this session. Handing over my role as President to her is bittersweet, but I cannot imagine the power in anyone's hands other than Alexia's, the paragon President of KCC.

Thank you to everyone for your support, and welcome to the finale of Season 1 of What Does It Take.

The Nature of Humankind (ft. Zachery Chan)

This goes down as one of the greatest episodes of 'What Does It Take' so far. We really did question what it takes to get over the line mentally with regards to any ambitions or endeavours in life, and I really think this is one of my podcast episodes for the ages. I invited Zachery Chan, the 2022 President of Asian Students In Australia on to the podcast today to have a chat and digression about everything to do with his goals and vision for ASIA to the meaning of being a President.

Where Is This "Easy"? (ft. Jessica Ramos)

Jessica Ramos, the newly elected President of Multicultural Students Union for 2022 has a lot to say about her goals and what she wants to achieve with MSU this incoming year. With MSU’s notoriously critical IGM process, we also discuss how elections for positions work with MSU, and compare it with KCC’s infrastructure. This episode’s special random question was also definitely one of my all time favourites.

P.S. I forgot to take our photo together so I Messenger video called her while I was at Geláre lmao

Will Gunners Stay? (ft. Danial Hairul-Annuar)

As I began to move the chairs together to sit together for the cover photo, he said: "Since we talked about muzzing and hakking, why not do the classic LB pose instead?", and I couldn't have agreed more.

The next, new president of Chinese Society, Danial Hairul-Annuar, is a guest unlike anyone I've ever had on this podcast. After a couple of DMs, Danial and I sit down together, meeting each other for the very first time, talking as one President to another, one of the only differences being time. As my time as an executive comes to a close in under 9 days, Danial provides a fresh perspective of someone coming into the job for the very first time, and we give a shot at tackling concepts I've always wanted to talk about with a new President. We talk about how important the connection with your Immediate Past President and past team is, his plans to ensure the continuity of the success CS has had this year, and we discuss a very important topic at the tail end of this episode.

F Major Is Calm (ft. Karen Matoba)

I finally get the opportunity to record an episode with the President of Multicultural Students Union, Karen Matoba. This is one of my most interesting episodes as I discuss a continuing controversial issue within my own committee, how difficult or easy Karen found presidency, and we also have a retrospective evaluation of how Karen went during her term, as she's now the Immediate Past President.

P.S. Big apologies Karen for the photo as it's our only picture together, at CS Presents: Kaleidoscopic Dream LOL
