Turn Your Struggles Upside Down

10m · Strong Business Stronger Marriage · 11 Feb 12:00

Think of sharing your struggles with your spouse as an investment in your marriage.

It’s not about piling on to your partner’s problems…

It’s about two people and their combined strength, overcoming challenges together, in order to improve their relationship and raise their quality of life.

We each have our own problems. You’ve got a “boulder” in your way and so does your spouse.

Alone, it’s likely that neither of you can move those out of your way. Assuming you can, you’d most likely have spent more time and energy getting the job done (needlessly).

If you worked together, removing one obstacle after the other, you’d both be free from your burdens in no time!

The problem is that a lot of couples aren’t inclined to share their struggles for fear of piling on to their partner’s troubles.

(Because who wants to do that?)

Though the intention is good, the consequence of keeping your problems to yourself are less likely to be.

In keeping your problems to yourself, you take away the opportunity for your partner to help you out, create a stronger bond with you, and strengthen your marriage.

Life may be difficult, but when we can do the hard things with people who genuinely love us and care for us, we give ourselves (and our partners) a better chance to endure hardships.

The question is: where do you begin?

How do you turn struggles upside down? What are creative ways to turn bad experiences into good ones? How can couples effectively tackle each other’s problems?

Tune in to learn more about sharing your struggles with your partner, turning bad experiences into date night, and improving your relationship to benefit your business and marriage.

Hush the Inner Bully: Shifting to an Empowering Mindset that Fosters a Thriving Business and Marriage with Shawn Douglass

There's an inner voice in all of us that likes to judge and compare ourselves. It's constantly comparing us with other people.

Maybe it started as a way to protect ourselves from the outside world, or maybe we picked up on it from the people around us. Either way, this voice is no longer doing us good, and is only holding us back from achieving more in our lives.

Examine that voice! What is it saying when you’re beaten down and in pain? Do you feel protected at all, hearing that voice?

Wouldn’t you think that if you let other people talk to you like how THAT inner bully talks to you, you’d probably throw a punch at them?

That’s how bad things are in your mind and honestly…this has GOT to GO!

It’s time to shush that judgmental and condescending inner bully, and rise up to achieve the success that you deserve!

Let’s hear what Shawn Douglass has to say about transforming that inner bully into a supportive and empowering voice that will lead you to success!

Shawn is an Entrepreneur, Mindset Coach, and Co-Founder of The Growth Lab. He has been helping entrepreneurs achieve the business growth and ultimately, business success that they desire by creating a safe space – where exploration and opportunities are realized without being encumbered by judgment – within his clients’ minds.

Shawn believes that in order to reach our dreams, we have to keep moving forward. In accepting who and where we are in life, we orient ourselves towards the direction of forward and beyond.

We have the capacity to change our mind and heart every single day in order to be better versions of ourselves tomorrow than what we are today. This is the self-love that we all need.

Self-love need not be selfish! Giving ourselves the love and respect that we need sparks positive changes. And by constantly committing to create these improvements in our lives, we become better suited to serve and impact the world!

What You Need to Know About The 3 PILLARS of LIFE Directly Affecting Business and Marriage with Don and Kimmi Abad

Life is like a delicate structure…

And where structures are concerned, they’re only as strong as the pillars and foundation supporting them.

Unfortunately, our society is too focused on seeking instant gratification! A lot of us skimp on foundational work in favor of putting up flimsy facades.

“Quick and Easy” is just never short of demand. Marketers abuse these words and slap it on every website, packaging, YouTube and Facebook videos, blog articles, among other marketing collaterals for almost every product imaginable…and people STILL keep falling for it!

What’s tragic is that this phenomenon has even made its way to affecting businesses and marriages.

“Why work hard when there are easy money-making schemes?”

“Why invest in a partner when you can find replacements on Tinder?”

WHY? Because as much as people crave immediate satisfaction, what everyone TRULY desires deep down is LIFE-LONG happiness and NOT some SHORT-LIVED rendezvous.

Which is why we’re fortunate to be joined by Don and Kimmi Abad, who are here to share how investing in Faith, Family, and Freedom – the 3 Pillars of Life – is your ticket to the life that you desire!

Don is a filmmaker, and Kimmi was a dancer and school teacher, now a full-time mom. Together, they are engaged in business that started in the network marketing space.

As artists, they were met with the challenge of not knowing how to monetize their art. By leveraging their resources in the direct-selling space, they were able to make full use of their skills and talents to create valuable content that continue to positively impact the lives of many people.

Besides business, they also had to face challenges in their marriage. By building their life upon strong values and foundations, this amazing couple plowed through trial after trial, and are now living the life of their dreams!

How exactly are the 3 Pillars relevant to your business and marriage? What makes the network marketing space a great avenue for starting a business? How should we really utilize mainstream media to further our goals?

How Investing in Customer Retention is the Bang for Buck Marketing You Need to Grow Your Business with Swire Ho

Clients and customers aren’t tools to push your business forward. They’re people!

Quite frankly, most business owners struggle with this idea. And often, entrepreneurs care more for their businesses than they’d care for their customers and employees. It’s a ridiculous reverse paradigm in which these very entrepreneurs tend end up losing more than they wanted to make.

We’ve seen it time and again, entrepreneurs putting in the effort to rake in new customers, all the while taking for granted their old clients, effectively treating people like expendable tools to move their businesses. This is NO WAY to go about growing your business.

Thankfully, we’ve got Swire Ho to show us how it should be done!

Swire Ho, AKA The Promo Guy, is the Cofounder of Garuda Promo and Branding Solutions, a promotional merchandise company.

On the day of his honeymoon, Swire found out that the company he worked for went under and he was out of a job. And so, his path to business was more forced than planned, but he didn’t regret a single step of the way! He was joined by his wife as a business partner. Today, He helps companies grow their sales, and retain employees and customers alike, through custom branded products.

Swire believes growing your business all about building trust with your customers and it takes time to do this. This doesn’t magically happen, and definitely NOT overnight. It takes careful planning and there’s a need to invest in your customers – you need to see people as PEOPLE!

One brilliant way you can build trust is by creating TRUE Transformations that will take a customer away from their pain point and towards the happy state that they desire! Isn’t that what we ALL want as humans?

Like we mentioned, it’s not an overnight deal. It takes time – every hour, minute, and second – that’s all going to be worth it as you make loyal customers who will potentially support your business until the end of time.

How is putting more into customer retention a better investment than getting new clients? What are the most effective strategies to implement for customer retention?

Tune in to learn more about highly effective customer retention ideas and strategies to grow your business, and creating transformations in customers that also transforms your own life, business and marriage!

Overcoming Challenges through Accountability in Business and Relationships with Kaid Collins and Olivia Coffman

Entrepreneurship and marriage are two of the most rewarding things you could ever have. Both will give you a sense of accomplishment and contentment, both will make you feel proud to be able to say that your business is yours and your partner is yours to love and cherish.

It’s strange though, that for something heavily coveted, whether it be business or marriage, people act like the work starts after deals and promises are made, and after contracts are signed.

Thing is, both of these start WAY BEFORE you drag pen over paper…

Entrepreneurship and marriage begin when you conceive plans for them, and when you put in the work to accomplish the small goals that will get you to where you plan to be.

For Kaid Collins and Olivia Coffman, everything started in a small café within the University of Oregon campus.

Olivia was a sophomore working at the student café. On the other hand, Kaid was a senior who frequented the café after working out at the rec center. Kaid always ordered a custom salad, with 3 scoops of black beans, for which Olivia secretly referred to him as “Three Bean”.

One faithful evening, Olivia unexpectedly ran into Kaid, wherein she blurted out her codename for him. Mortified, she tried to run away, unsuccessfully as Kaid pulled her hand to ask an explanation for the strange name. Brows were raised, explanations were given, and a week after, they started dating.

This coming June 10, 2022, they’re about to tie the knot!

This special day would not have been possible if not for the preparation and hard work they put in place. This power couple went through long distance, career changes, business ventures, among other exciting but challenging phases in their life, each of which they conquered through accountability!

“Take care of you for me, I’ll take care of me for you”, a powerful promise that Kaid and Olivia made to each other years back, knowing that 2 sinking ships can’t help each other. Staying afloat for themselves but never by themselves, Kaid and Olivia have grown strong in business, and soon, stronger in marriage!

Why is Kaid “Accountability King” and Olivia, “Challenge Queen”? What’s Accountability Deposit? How did 100-day challenges lead the couple to their successful businesses and loving relationship today?

Tune in to learn more about accountability, leveraging challenges, and the 7 measures for growth and success, all working to build strong businesses and stronger marriages!
