Recovering From Alcohol Abuse

55m · Thrive and Shine Wellness · 11 Apr 11:12

On today’s episode, I sit down with ultra-endurance athlete & coach Josh Elliott. He shares his story of alcoholism and how a 12 Step recovery program is changing his life for the better. Our discussion is all about breaking the stigma. So many people in this world suffer in silence because they feel like they are alone. Too many of us put on a front for friends and social media, but are truly broken and unhealthy inside. The overarching message in Josh’s story is that it’s okay to ask for help. You are not the only one struggling, and resources are available when you are ready. We talk about alcohol, but the same principles apply to drug addiction, food addiction, exercise addition, sex addition, gambling, screens, anxiety, depression, you name it. If anyone would like reach out to Josh directly on any of the topics discussed today; recovery, massage therapy, or run coaching, please click link below. www.compassmassagetherarpy.com
