12m · Simple You · 11 Aug 04:25

It can be incredibly easy to beat yourself up about having spent money on your business or passion, and feeling like you have wasted it. What happens when that course, coach or equipment doesn’t continue to inspire you after purchase or sits there unused? I’ve been there, and in this episode I talk about how I manage my feelings about having spent money in my business that doesn’t contribute to my progress or income the way I hoped or intended it to.

Episode 52: The value of doing one thing at a time

For many of us, our self worth can be strongly linked to our productivity. Whether it’s our natural tendency or years of conditioning, it’s time to untangle our worth from our output. Piling a ton of items onto our To Do list can lead to complexity, overwhelm and inefficiency. In this episode I discuss the value of focusing on one or only a few things at a time and how I’m applying this in my own life.

Episode 51: Walking Te Araroa with Just a Backpack with Kirsten Owens - Walking the Long Pathway New Zealand

This episode’s podcast guest is extremely special. She’s one of my best longtime friends, Kirsten Owens. During several months in 2017 and 2018, Kirsten walked Te Araroa, also known as The Long Pathway of New Zealand, carrying a modest pack of belongings with her. Te Araroa is one of the world’s longest walking trails. We discuss Kirsten’s journey which took several months, as well as minimalism, consumerism and the importance of our relationships and experiences over stuff.
