There is often a lot of focus about racism and its harmful affects in the Black community, especially as it pertains to Black men. But conversation about the plight of Black women, who face high levels of murder, physical and sexual violence is often met with denial, gaslighting and silence. Black women who advocate for themselves and other Black women and girls are accused of waging a "gender war" or causing division in the community. Complex Ptsd

Most of us know what ptsd (post traumatic stress disorder), but there is a less known subset of called complex ptsd. While they can both have similar symptoms, ptsd is limited to a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, sexual assault while C-ptsd is the result of repeated trauma with no escape. The Benefits of Being Alone

Often, being alone is seen as something to be pitied, unhealthy or a sure way to becoming a school shooter in our society. However, when we reframe our negative thinking about being on our own, it allows us to use that solitude to invest in our mental, emotional, financial and spiritual well-being and also confront our inner demons so that we may live full and free lives.
