Finding solace in a gang, he paid a high price for acceptance, leading to prison time. Enduring 12 years in a harsh penal system marked by racism, violence, and addiction, Agustus found a turning point when he embraced Christianity within those prison walls.
His newfound faith brought a glimmer of hope that had been absent for years. After he was released from prison, Agustus embarked on a mission to rebuild his life and extend a helping hand to others. Through "Setting the Captive Free Ministries," founded in 2014, he reached out to prisoners, ex-offenders, the homeless, and those on the brink of a gang lifestyle. His debut book, "Incarceration Addictions and the Cross," lays bare his gripping journey through trials that shaped his life. Agustus' transparency guides those on similar paths toward freedom, showcasing the power of faith in transformation.
