Using Math to Create a Just and Peaceful World with Dr. Kim Yoak

55m · Jabbedu Education Podcast · 13 Sep 09:00

Kim doesn't have high expectations... all she wants to do is solve world peace and uproot the entire education system... nothing too lofty.

I say that in a sarcastic tone, but isn't this the kind of person we want out in front of us, leading the charge in our education system?

In this episode Dr. Yoak and I chat about how she became a mathematics fanatic, how her guiding principle of "Empower every learner every day through mathematics to create a just and peaceful world where all people flourish" guides her professional development sessions, and how we can make math more meaningful for our students.
