Serial Entrepreneurship with Mike Savage

Entrepreneurship is a blessing and a curse. For so many of us who are bitten, we never get it out of our systems. Mike Savage is one such case. He’s a serial entrepreneur and badass business coach who has spent years building, growing, selling, and starting over with business after business.

He now helps up and coming entrepreneurs and business owners to reach the next level in their own businesses, no matter which level that is. His passion is to help entrepreneurs who are driven, make big, bold steps forward.

It all started, sadly, after his father passed away. His dad owned a pharmacy and rather than watch her husband’s life’s work fall away, Mike’s mom took up the reins and kept the business going. Despite having lost her husband, mom and aunt all in a short period of time, she kept going.

After getting his degree in engineering, it didn’t take him long to realize the corporate world wasn’t for him. He really checked out after developing a tool to help people read while working out on exercise machines that took off.

That was the first of many businesses that he grew to multiple seven-figures and now he’s ready to help you do the same. Listen in as he shares his story and why he’s so passionate about helping entrepreneurs.

10 to Win - Lessons in Leadership from Ted Lasso

If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you know that I’m not big into TV. If I have free time, then I’m typically listening to podcasts, reading, or doing some other personal development activity.

A friend of mine recommended that I watch Ted Lasso earlier this year and since the family was going on vacation, I decided to give it a try. Imagine my surprise when before I knew it, I’d binged 10hrs of the show.

What struck me the most were the number of amazing lessons in leadership that the show tackled. I loved their take on what it takes to be a great leader, even when you don’t necessarily have experience in the field.

Real quick, the four lessons are:

  1. Kindness matters…
  2. Everyone matters…
  3. The job of a leader is to make people better…
  4. Believe in yourself

Listen in to hear all of my insights on the lessons in leadership I learned from Ted Lasso. Have you watched? What did you learn?

In this episode:

[00:50] Welcome back! It’s time to learn all about leadership from Ted Lasso.

[01:51] I don’t really watch TV but a friend recommended Ted Lasso and I couldn’t stop.

[03:31] The first lesson in leadership from Ted Lass is that kindness matters.

[05:37] Everyone matters, even those who may seem invisible.

[06:56] The job of a leader is to make people better.

[08:48] The fourth lesson is simply to believe.
