We will talk through three areas of prayer for you:

1. Why should I pray?

2. What do I pray about?

3. How do I pray as I GO to help others connect with Jesus?

Interview with Mark Schulz

In his book “The Meaning of Marriage” Tim Keller writes, “To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything.”

Pastor Schulz, the former pastor at Trinity Lisle, is the founder of Fully Known and Truly Loved, an organization that seeks to help churches recognize their blind spots, grow in their understanding, and reach out in a loving way to the LGBTQ people who are eager to be part of a caring faith community. Of LGBTQ people who grew up in a faith community, 76% are open to returning to a faith community but are afraid of how they would be received. Hear from Pastor Schulz how we can LOVE ONE ANOTHER and share Christ’s Peace with EVERYONE.

Who and First Steps

There are many people in our circles of relationships. These circles contain people at work, school, PTA, clubs, the gym, children’s activities, and many more. How do we find the right people to start a discipling relationship with and what are my first steps to developing this or starting this relationship. In this month’s episode we will look at these two questions and find ways to help you in your disciplining relationship.

Disciple Maker - Information - Imitation - Innovation

Through my time with different discipling organizations, I have heard a repeated theme about making disciples and being a discipleInformation – Imitation – Innovation.

What does this mean or what is the big deal with this phrase? This is the basic process of all of discipleship. In my first book “How are You Doing?” we talked about the 4 Cs (Connect, Care, Community, Christ) that is how you lead someone into a relationship you and with Jesus. But there is a follow-up step to this, how do we help people step out of just being a disciple and into a disciple making posture. I want you to think of being a disciple maker like an apprenticeship where one is the leader and models, explains, and teaches the “job” to someone else. In this podcast we will talk about these three terms and what they mean for you as a disciple maker.

Jan-NEW-ary

Well, it is 2024 and now what. I saw a meme the other day that said, “Before I agree to 2024, I want to read the terms and conditions of the year.” Yes, we are again moving into a year of the unknown. However, this is also a time of starting something new. Many take time to make a resolution to “better themselves”. What if this year instead of making a resolution to lose weight or go to the gym or who knows what, we make a resolution to do something new for our faith life.

It's time for your faith to SOAR

Start something new in 2024

In this month’s podcast we will explore some of the ways you can help your faith soar this year and some helpful hints and ideas to help you in Jan-NEW-ary.
