15. How to make change STICK in 2024

Hello 2024! It is great to be back recording for the New Year. It is the time of year that we see and hear a lot about New Year Resolutions. Goals for the coming year and commiseration on failing on past resolutions.

But, after working in behaviour change and nutrition for the past 12 years I have seen some common themes come up as to why we can't get those resolutions or goals to stick. In this episode of How to Thrive I am sharing with you:

  • The three reasons why we can't make goals or resolutions stick and what we can actually do to get change to STICK.
  • Why you need to know your WHY
  • What actually happens to us when we make change in any part of life, no matter how positive it is
  • The key to moving forward when things are uncomfortable and challenges pop up
  • What the secret to life altering change is

In the episode I talk about the Iceberg - and you can listen to an episode about this topic itself right here: Ep 8: The Iceberg Analogy - the foundation for thriving as a modern woman.

I also refer to an exercise I work through with my clients which I sharing with you. A series of questions and prompts to help you review, reflect and reset for the new year. Grab your free copy here.

13. How to talk to little people about food & their body, with Rachael Wilson, RD.

Rachael Wilson, a UK-trained registered dietitian, is at the forefront of child nutrition in New Zealand. With over two decades of experience in the field, she brings a unique and unconventional perspective to her practice.

Rachael's expertise lies in family feeding, feeding disorders, disordered eating, and body image. As the co-founder of The Food Tree, she advocates for a non-diet, Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, specializing in intuitive eating and mindful eating. • Whether children can get addicted to sugar
  • How to support body image and body neutrality in children and adolescents
