This week on Finding Your Bliss, we have a show devoted to charities supporting couples struggling with infertility! Life Coach and Bliss Expert Judy Librach is joined by Dr. Ari Baratz and Danna and Randi Grunberg to talk about the charities Modern Miracle Foundation and Fertility Matters Canada. Dr. Ari Baratz has been dedicated to womenÂs health and reproductive medicine for over 20 years. He is one of a select few physicians in Canada with the accreditation and the advanced level of training required for the care of people dealing with infertility and recurrent miscarriages. Dr. Baratz attended McGill University for his Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Cell Biology (BSc) and the University of Western Ontario for his Medical Degree (MD) where he was recognized with distinction and for outstanding performance in obstetrics & gynecology. After completing his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at the University of Toronto (FRCSC), Dr. Baratz was designated by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada with a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) at the University of Toronto. Upon joining CReATe, Dr. Baratz assumed a faculty position in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, University of Toronto. Dr. Baratz has played an integral role in the Department of Gynecology at the New WomenÂs College Hospital, University of Toronto. He is a leader in Ambulatory Gynecology and Surgical education and has mentored many students, residents, and fellows in reproductive medicine. Through CReATe, WomenÂs College Hospital and the University of Toronto, Dr. Baratz continues his research in medical education and several aspects of clinical infertility and reproductive endocrinology. Focused on providing Âpatient-centred fertility care, Dr. BaratzÂs clinical interests include providing all forms of assisted reproductive technologies, reproductive endoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery, and Reproductive Telemedicine (Ontario Telemedicine Network). A compassionate practitioner and dedicated researcher, Dr. Baratz has presented his research at several national and international forums.? Dr. Baratz has a special interest in all forms of third-party reproduction including anonymous and known egg/sperm donation and surrogacy. He has provided consultations on matters of reproductive medicine for intended parents throughout Ontario, across Canada and internationally. Dr. Baratz is an active member of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario, the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, the Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists of Canada, the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, the Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine & the European Society for Human Reproduction. Dr. Baratz has been an Executive Board member for the WomenÂs College Hospital, the Medical Staff Association, and the WomenÂs College Hospital Alternate Funding Plan. Currently, he is Chair of the Ontario Medical Association Reproductive Biology Section and President, Board of Directors, Fertility Matters Canada. Recently, Dr. Baratz was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Modern Miracle Foundation. Also on the program are sisters Danna and Randi Grunberg who are the co-founders of the Modern Miracle Foundation! Danna Grunberg is an accomplished and inspiring leader with expertise in business and technical transformations with a demonstrated ability to deliver and exceed business goals. Her 15+ year journey in the corporate world includes management positions at CIBC, one of CanadaÂs largest banks. This experience is complemented by her passion for a charitable endeavour that she holds dear to her heart. Danna co-founded The Modern Miracle Foundation, a Canadian charity that helps fund fertility treatments for people who donÂt have the financial means to do so. She and her sister also started Mini Mod, an online kids clothing store which donates a portion of proceeds to Modern Miracle. Danna currently resides in Toronto, Ontario with her husband and their little modern miracle. Randi Grunberg is a marketing professional with almost 10 years of experience working in various growth-related roles, including at Google and Ritual Technologies. She currently works as a marketing consultant, using her expertise to help grow small to medium-sized businesses. Randi also runs an online kids clothing store, Mini Mod, that she co-founded with her sister. Prior to marketing, Randi worked at Ernst & Young where she obtained her CPA, CA designation. Randi has always been passionate about helping others. Most recently she co-founded a charity, The Modern Miracle Foundation, providing grants to those struggling to afford fertility treatments. Randi and her husband were fortunate to welcome their daughter via an incredible surrogate and their goal is to help others achieve their own dreams of having a family. Scerina is a girl with small-town values and big-city ambitions. Coming from a creative and entrepreneurial family, it was only a matter of time before she followed in their footsteps. Growing up, Scerina was always surrounded by music and loved the entertainment and broadcasting industry. That love led her to go to school for Radio Broadcasting and to work on films and television. By 2012, when social media was on the rise, she hopped on that bandwagon and hasnÂt looked back since! Now, with years of combined experience in media, blogging and digital marketing under her belt, 2017 started the journey to business ownership. After leaving a toxic corporate environment, Scerina knew she could never return to that life. It was a spring solo trip to New York City which allowed her the time and introspection to figure out her new life path. By the Fall of 2019, the adventure into acquiring a boutique Public Relations agency had begun. And what an adventure itÂs been! Her most memorable roles include Marnie in "Schitt's Creek," Alice in "The Changeling," Christine in "The Handmaid's Tale," Maggie, in "Workin' Moms," Greta in "The Sinner," Neeva in "The Strain," Mazz in "The Doodlebops," Deborah in "SAW Ill" and "SAW IV," Mrs. Bosco in "The Cheetah Girls" and her continuing role as Mayor Goodway in "Paw Patrol," "Paw Patrol the Movie," and "Paw Patrol the Mighty Movie." Kim is a pioneer in her industry. Not only has she represented Canada on domestic and international screens for the past 30-plus years, but she is one of the first to have paved the way for artists of colour right here at home. Kim has worked alongside the best in the business, from producers and directors like Stephen Spielberg, Zack Snyder, Maya Angelou, Sydney Lumet and Atom Egoyen to actors and musicians like Drake, Robin Williams, Jackie Chan, Bill Pullman, Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan and Christopher Plummer. Active on the local scene, Kim was the host at Harbourfront's main stage for 12 years. She has also hosted the illumination of the Bloor Viaduct, The Pan Am Games and various other events for the city of Toronto. She is the founder of SOULO Theatre, originating in Toronto, with workshops in New York City, Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Vancouver and the UK. A proud Canadian, Tracey is an award-winning teacher, solo performer, theatre director, television producer and thought leader, employing personal stories for global transformation. TraceyÂs work has been seen Off-Broadway (including "The Burning Bush!" "The Clergy Project" and "We The Men") and on several stages the world over where she has been awarded Best of the Fringe (Toronto and NYC), the Broadway World Award (NYC), and the Audience Choice Award (NYC). She is the host, creator and co-producer of the award-winning documentary TV series "DRAG HEALS" (Amazon Prime, Apple TV, OUTtv). Tracey is also a two-time Diamond First Place Award Winner for Best Theatre Instructor (The Toronto Star).
