Whither the Press (Wither the Press)

29m · Ellis Traub · 23 Sep 23:30

Where does the Constitution's First Amendment right to free speech and this nation's proud tradition of protecting that right for the media end and the need to prevent our enemies from acquiring critical information begin? As with all such rights, for which we are the envy of most of the world, abuse of those rights ultimately will result in their loss. Our choice: whether we voluntarily curb their exercise or have them forcibly taken away from us. This discussion will revolve around just how much commonsense and prudence our media should employ in the interest of our national security and well-being.

Are they really entitled to a raise? Are we really entitled to the benefits we get? Let's talk about it.
