The dust will have settled on the mid-term election; and it's a good time to speculate on what the results might mean——and what they probably don't.
Given these results, what are the things that could put President Obama in office for a second term? We'll throw five of them out there for your consideration and invite your (civil) comment.

Social Security has been a blessing for many, but portends to become a curse. For two years running, there have been no COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment) raises coming to senior citizens, disabled workers, and dependents of diseased workers and all are up in arms about it. Are they really entitled to a raise? Are we really entitled to the benefits we get? Let's talk about it.

All of our economic problems could be solved with a simple change in attitude. If those who hate the rich, think big business is an enemy, and believe that huge profits are taken at the expense of those who work for companies, were to come to their senses, we could get back on our feet again as a nation.

Where does the Constitution's First Amendment right to free speech and this nation's proud tradition of protecting that right for the media end and the need to prevent our enemies from acquiring critical information begin? As with all such rights, for which we are the envy of most of the world, abuse of those rights ultimately will result in their loss. Our choice: whether we voluntarily curb their exercise or have them forcibly taken away from us. This discussion will revolve around just how much commonsense and prudence our media should employ in the interest of our national security and well-being.

To know where money comes from, it's essential to know what it really is. Do you really make money or merely earn it? Or do you really earn it or do you steal it? Doest the government make it, earn it, or steal it? Or is there another option? These are some questions that more people need to know the answers to. Do you?
