Apart from his career and DECA, we chatted about traveling, why students should go on an exchange program, and he revealed he has visited sixty-five countries as of now!

03. In Conversation with Katie Rieger

For today's episode, we invited Katie Rieger on the show, a former DECA Ontario Provincial Officer and DECAU VP of Operations. At the time of our conversation, Katie had just come back from working at Buckingham Palace and was starting a gig as a marketing consultant. We discussed her journey across the Atlantic after graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University and how her experiences in DECA helped land her the opportunity. In addition, Katie provided insightful tips about how to stay motivated when starting off in the business world, and gave us a look into how marketing trends have changed due to COVID-19.

01. In Conversation with Jake Jardine

In our first ever Business Baseline episode, we invited Jake Jardine in to speak about how DECA truly gives budding entrepreneurs a head start in their careers through the lens of a past Provincial Officer and President of both DECAU and Collegiate DECA. He describes his experiences working in digital marketing and how the space is ever changing to accommodate for social media. In addition, we discussed the newest advertising trends, choosing the right career path, the Nike Swoosh, and Elon Musk, obviously.
