Three best money tips:

  1. Know your numbers. You need to know what you spend each month, without making any judgements. You just need to know.
  2. For the spenders: Set a budget for “mad money”. Allow yourself to splurge, but set yourself up for success. Allow yourself fun, just make it controlled.
  3. Every dollar should have a job. Expenses, emergency funds. #1 financial goal is to fill that fund up.

Risk Advising: Are You Covered? How to make sure you are actually covered when things go wrong

Such a fantastic conversation about making sure you're covered in the event of an unfortunate event. Its so often something people look at as “what’s the minimum I can get by with” as oppose to “How do I make sure that in any situation, I have some peace of mind”.

In this episode we talk about:

Understanding the importance of having an agent who cares about you, listens and asks the questions.

Understanding what’s covered and not, and how to make sure even things like the loss of a key employee is covered.

Protecting yourself from the unexpected, things happen you never would expect, how do you make sure your business doesn’t fail at the expense of an unexpected event.

And 3 things to look for in a great agent (as oppose to a less than great agent, or a 1-800 number)
