Nick is a recovering over achiever and has walked many paths including hardcore punk rocker, engineer, Ivy League MBA student, corporate manager and Army Airborne Ranger. He has never shied away from adventure and has a high tolerance for risk. As a special operations soldier he deployed multiple times, jumped out of many perfectly good airplanes and conducted 100's of missions in highly volatile parts of the globe.

Through his many first hand exploits and close observation he has learned deep lessons about human nature, the psychology of fear and how the mind works. As a professional life coach he is unafraid to go to the deep spaces with his players and has a passion for freeing people from the grips of limiting patterns and beliefs. He has a powerful presence, ability to listen and skill for increasing awareness and inspiring action.

When our tears break through, we often do as well.

We all experience tough moments in life. The past few weeks of mine have been filled with difficult endings, new beginnings, and powerful realizations, but also of light and hope.

Through my recent separation and divorce after a marriage of 25 years, ongoing health issues, and my first move in more than 13 years, I’ve experienced more than my share of both tears and what we’ll call ‘moments of growth.’ Despite this, I find myself both encouraged and excited.

Courtland Tyler, Founder of UEP Studios, grew up rough. Hard enough that I’m sure many others gave him little chance of success. They were wildly wrong.

Despite not meeting his father until his late 20s and spending 10+ years in group homes and foster care because his mother was very ill before eventually passing way, Courtland has never given up. In fact, encouraged by his professor, he’s become an entrepreneur who has developed teams that design video games and produce impactful anime content.

Courtland Tyler, Founder of Unfocused Entertainment and Production Studios (UEP) is a former boxer and amateur MMA Fighter from Oakland, CA who chooses every day to overcome the difficult circumstances of his childhood to create content and build engaging games that inspire new generations.

Courtland studied law before completing degrees in Communication and Behavior Science and has plans for further studies in business and economics.

Courtland and his development team are currently working on their first Indie game titled The Oracle while his anime team nears the finish line of the first season of their series, TK.
