I'm so honored and proud to be speaking with my friend and Life Coach Lauren Brollier. As many of you already know I thought the idea of having a life coach was a bit silly, when I met Lauren, I could tell she had information that could lead me into a more fulfilling and joyful life. I can't wait for you all to meet her and hear the story of how she came into this transformational work. 

I was so excited about this collaboration with two dynamic Latinas who are paving the way for other young, professional women of color to have interesting conversations. As we talked about our lives and our work, the conversation took an interesting turn and we started to talk about the things that make being a woman of color hard. We talked about some of the things we've encountered and had to endure as women of color and what we are doing to change the narrative. 

I met a new friend! She's a fellow podcaster and also from the Bay Area. Christina Rodriguez is a marketing and business expert, a mom, podcaster, and a fierce fair housing advocate. She runs her own organization teaching underserved communities the basics of fair housing. She shares some of her hardships and how her experiences led her to pave a new path for her and her family.

In this episode I'll tell you about a time in my life when I faced a really tough financial situation (it happened more than once) and how I took that experience to get through finding myself without any active income during this pandemic. 

There's so much advice to be positive and remain calm, but what happens when we ignore all the real emotions we are feeling? In this episode I talk about why it's hard for me to stay positive during times like these.
