This is the second episode of the 3 part survivor series. I'm talking with consent educator and sexual literacy advocate Rosalia Rivera. We talk about how she navigated her own traumatic experiences to provide empowerment to survivors and parents. This is a topic I am very passionate about as a mother and a person raised by sex abuse survivors.

This episode gives me all the feels. I got the chance to talk to a woman I was friends with in high school and found out she started a coffee roasting business. We talk about what it's like to be a woman of color in a white male dominated business and how hard it is to be that Wonder Woman mom so many of us strive to be. She's an amazing example of someone who is doing the work that calls to her despite the noise in our heads about not being good enough. 

Starting something new can be scary, especially when you are doing it with a bunch of people you've never met before. Theresa is a mother, wife, professional, and an acting student. We met in class and she has become part of my creative family. She had a hard start to life, but she's taken what she's learned to pursue her dreams and live her best life.

She's a legit social media influencer, author, mother, and filmmaker who is dedicated to empowering and inspiring women to be the truest version of themselves.
