1085 Compassion for the Poor - Proverbs 21:13

4m · Published 27 Dec 09:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 21:13. It says, "He who shuts his ear to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and not be answered."

This verse warns us that if we are not compassionate to the poor, we will not be shown compassion ourselves. We need to have compassion for the people around us, especially those who are struggling financially or in other ways.

As Christians, we are called to be compassionate and to help those in need. We should not ignore the poor or turn a blind eye to their suffering. Instead, we should reach out to them and offer them our help.

There are many ways that we can help the poor. We can donate money to charities that support the poor, volunteer our time at soup kitchens or homeless shelters, or simply reach out to those in need in our own communities.

No matter how we choose to help, the important thing is that we do something. We cannot afford to ignore the poor and needy. We must have compassion for them and show them the love of Christ.

Let us all remember the words of Proverbs 21:13 and open our hearts to the cry of the poor. Let us be compassionate and generous, and let us help those in need.

3m · Published 26 Dec 09:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 20:3. It says, "Honor belongs to the person who ends a dispute, but any fool can get himself into a quarrel."

This proverb is reminding us that it is better to avoid conflict than to engage in it. It is easy to get into a quarrel, but it takes wisdom and maturity to end one.

As Christians, we are called to be peacemakers. We should strive to avoid conflict and to resolve disputes peacefully. When we do this, we bring honor to ourselves and to God.

Let's all ask God to help us to be dispute-enders. Let's choose to avoid conflict and to seek peace in all of our relationships.

This verse tells us that Jesus is the glory of God in human flesh. He is the only Son of God, and He came to earth to save us from our sins.

We can enjoy Jesus by spending time with Him in prayer, reading the Bible, and worshiping Him. We can also enjoy Him by serving others and sharing His love with the world.

The passage for today is Proverbs 19:20. It says, "Listen to counsel and accept discipline that you may be wise the rest of your days."

This proverb reminds us that we should be open to criticisms and correction from others. This is the only way we can learn and grow. When we are defensive, we are not able to take in new information and we are more likely to make mistakes.

We should also remember that criticism and correction are not always easy to hear. However, if we can learn to accept them with humility, they can be a great blessing to us. They can help us to become better people and to live more fulfilling lives.

Let's all strive to be open to criticism and correction. Let's not be afraid to ask for feedback from others, and let's be willing to listen to what they have to say. If we do this, we will be on our way to becoming wise and successful people.

We can avoid this by being patient and waiting to hear everything before we respond. This will help us to avoid making mistakes and damaging our relationships.

Let's all remember to be patient and listen before we speak. This will help us to be more wise and effective communicators.

If you are going through a difficult time, remember that God is testing your heart. He is not trying to punish you, but to help you grow. Trust in Him and allow Him to work in your life. He will bring you through this and make you stronger than ever before.

Remember, God is always with you and He will never leave you or forsake you.

Wisdom and Understanding - Proverbs 16:16 | Episode 1079

5m · Published 19 Dec 09:00

In today's passage, Proverbs 16:16, we are told that it is better to get wisdom than gold, and to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. Wisdom is the skillful application of understanding or knowledge, while understanding is the ability to comprehend something. Both are important, but wisdom is what allows us to put our understanding into practice.

As Christ followers, we have been given the Holy Spirit and access to a greater understanding of the world. We should use this understanding to make a difference in the world by helping others move closer to Jesus. We can do this by sharing our faith, praying for others, and simply being a blessing to those around us.

Let's not let a day pass without moving one notch closer to Jesus and allowing Him to transform our world.

Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God and to experience His love and peace. It is also a way to ask God for help and guidance in our lives. Let's all make an effort to pray more often.
