Humility and Wisdom - Proverbs 11:2

4m · Published 13 Dec 13:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 11:2. It says, "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom."

This verse teaches us that pride leads to disgrace, while humility leads to wisdom. Pride is thinking too highly of ourselves, while humility is thinking of ourselves rightly. When we are proud, we are more likely to make mistakes and to be embarrassed. When we are humble, we are more likely to learn from our mistakes and to grow in wisdom.

We can avoid pride by being aware of our own weaknesses and limitations. We can also avoid pride by being grateful for what we have and by acknowledging the good in others. We can grow in humility by spending time with God in prayer and by reading the Bible. We can also grow in humility by serving others and by putting their needs before our own.

Humility is a valuable virtue that can help us to live more fulfilling lives. When we are humble, we are more likely to be happy, healthy, and successful. We are also more likely to be a positive influence on others.

Let's all strive to be humble and to avoid pride. Let's remember that with the humble is wisdom.

The Benefit of Diligence - Proverbs 10:4 | Episode #1074

4m · Published 12 Dec 13:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 10:4. It says, "A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich."

This verse tells us that if we are lazy and do not work hard, we will be poor. However, if we are diligent and work hard, we will be rich.

Diligence is characterized by steady, earnest, and energetic effort. It means that we are careful and intentional about our actions and that we bring our best energy to our work.

When we are diligent, we are not just going through the motions. We are not just trying to get by. We are putting our heart and soul into our work and we are doing our best to make a difference.

Diligence is important because it allows us to create wealth and to bless others. When we are diligent, we are able to provide for our families and to help those in need. We are also able to make a positive impact on our communities and the world.

Let us all strive to be diligent in our work. Let us put our heart and soul into everything we do and let us make a difference in the world.

Handling Correction - Proverbs 9-8 | Episode 1073

4m · Published 11 Dec 13:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 9:8. It says, "Do not reprove a scoffer or he will hate you. Reprove a wise man and he will love you."

This verse tells us that we should be careful about who we give advice to. If we give advice to someone who is not receptive to it, they will likely reject it and may even become angry with us. However, if we give advice to someone who is humble and willing to learn, they will appreciate it and may even love us for it.

We can apply this verse to our lives by being mindful of the way we respond to correction. If we are humble and willing to learn, we will be more likely to accept correction and grow from it. However, if we are defensive and unwilling to listen, we will be more likely to reject correction and miss out on an opportunity to improve.

Let's all strive to be wise people who are open to correction. When we are corrected, let's receive it with humility and love. This will help us to grow in our faith and become more effective in our work.

How to Obtain Favor from the Lord - Proverbs 8:35 | Ep. 1072

3m · Published 08 Dec 13:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 8:35. It says, "For one who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord."

This verse tells us that wisdom is the key to finding life and favor from God. Wisdom is not the same as knowledge. Knowledge is information, but wisdom is the ability to use that information in a way that is beneficial.

We can find wisdom by seeking God and asking Him to give it to us. We can also find wisdom by reading the Bible, which is full of wisdom from God.

When we find wisdom, we will find life and favor from God. We will be able to make better decisions, and we will be more likely to succeed in our endeavors. We will also be more likely to please God and to live a life that is pleasing to Him.

Let's all seek wisdom from God today. Let's read the Bible and ask Him to give us the wisdom we need to make good decisions and to live a life that is pleasing to Him.

The Importance of Purity - Proverbs 7:1,5| Episode 1071

4m · Published 07 Dec 13:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 7:1, 5. It says, "My son, keep my words and treasure my commandments within you so that they may keep you from an adulterous, from the foreigner who flatters with her words."

Purity is important because every little bit matters. Every little lack of purity, every little impurity matters. Every little challenge matters. When we compromise even in the least, it matters.

However, the good news is that every little thing we do can also matter forever. In Matthew 10, Jesus says that even when we give a cup of cold water, because we're a disciple, we shall not lose our reward.

Let's ask God to show us where we're being lazy when it comes to purity. Let's ask Him to show us where we're tolerating just doing what we've always done. Because when we do what we've always done, we get what we always got.

Today, let's attack our own purity. Ask God what He would have you change and then use the next five minutes to do something about it.

1070 Making Things Right - Proverbs 6:2-4

5m · Published 06 Dec 09:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 6:2-4. It says, "If you have been ensnared by the words of your mouth or caught by the words of your mouth, then do this, my son, and save yourself. Since you have come into the hand of your neighbor, go humble yourself and be urgent with your neighbor to free yourself. You have no sleep to your eyes nor slumber to your eyelids."

This passage is telling us that if we have said something that we regret, we should humble ourselves and apologize to the person we offended. We should do this quickly, before the situation gets worse.

This is important because it shows that we are taking responsibility for our actions and that we are willing to make things right. It also helps to restore the relationship that was damaged by our words.

When we humble ourselves and apologize, we are showing that we are more concerned about the other person's feelings than we are about our own pride. This is a Christ-like attitude, and it is one that we should all strive to have.

If you have said something that you regret, don't wait to apologize. Humble yourself and make things right. It will be worth it in the end.

Seen By God - Proverbs 5:21 | Episode 1069

5m · Published 06 Dec 01:00

The passage for today is Proverbs 5:21. It says, "For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he watches all his paths." This means that God is always watching us and he knows everything we do.

We should live our lives in a way that pleases God, knowing that he is always watching. We should not do anything that we would be ashamed of if God saw it.

We should also be thankful for God's constant presence in our lives. He is always there to help us and guide us. We can trust him with our lives and know that he will never leave us or forsake us.

Let us live our lives for God's glory, knowing that he is always watching and that he loves us very much.

The Path of the Righteous - Proverbs 4:18 | Ep 1068

4m · Published 04 Dec 13:00

What is different about people who follow Jesus? The passage for today is Proverbs 4:18: "But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full light of day."

This verse tells us that the lives of those who follow Jesus should be getting brighter and brighter. This means that we should be growing in our faith and becoming more like Jesus every day.

There are a few things that we can do to make sure that our lives are shining brighter and brighter. First, we need to spend time in the Word of God. The Bible is our source of spiritual nourishment, and it helps us to grow in our faith. Second, we need to pray regularly. Prayer is our way of communicating with God, and it helps us to stay connected to Him. Third, we need to be involved in a community of believers. The church is a great place to find support and encouragement from other Christians.

When we do these things, we will be able to live lives that are shining brighter and brighter. We will be a light to the world around us, and we will help others to come to know Jesus.

Kindness and truth are key to being a good person and a good Christian. We should strive to be kind and truthful in all that we do, and to let these qualities shine through in our interactions with others. When we are kind and truthful, we are in a position to do what's best for the people around us and to help them move one notch closer to Jesus. We should also remember that kindness and truth are not always easy, but they are always worth it. When we receive God's words and treasure his commandments, we are putting ourselves in a position to understand the knowledge of God. We are also given the opportunity to be a blessing to the people we work with.
