#003 - How do you measure your marketing content’s performance, and how are you improving it?

6m · Published 26 Nov 11:53

How do you measure your marketing content’s performance, and how are you improving it?

Clicks, time on page, bounce rate, shares❓

According to Semrush research, clicks are still one of the top metrics that 69% of marketers use to evaluate content performance. (See link in comments.)

But is this the best way to measure content performance?

Does more clicks = higher performance?

It's partially true.

But, a better way to measure is to look at both  "clicks" and "Average Time On Page."

#002 - SEO vs Paid Ads - Which one is better?

4m · Published 19 Nov 11:21

Do you know that 70% to 80% of users completely ignore paid advertisements?

What does this even mean?

Organic results are more likely to get clicks than paid ones.

Yes, you heard it right.

If you observe, users who search queries on search engines are now smarter than ever.

They know what results are more useful by looking at the data google provides on the search results page.

But HOW? and WHY?

To understand this, you must put yourself in the user's shoes.

Let's take an example.

I was searching for the "Best hosting provider in India."

In that, I got plenty of paid and organic results combined.

But I went with the first two results from the title and descriptions.

Using these results makes sense since they show me a list of hosting providers to choose from.

Now here I want more choices.

The purpose is to compare features, prices, etc.

So, going with those results made sense and was the solution for me.

Now let's understand why I didn't go with the paid one.

There are two reasons.👇

👉 Not meeting requirements (If someone is searching keyword like "BEST," then most probably they are looking to have more choices to compare)

👉 Information does not match the search query

There might be many more reasons, but these two are the primary reasons why users ignore paid advertisements.

Does that mean paid results are useless?

No.

It can be effective if done by understanding the search query's intent and problem.

That's why I put a lot of pressure on the intent and the pain points.

Future is the "Pain Point SEO," not "Keyword base SEO."

#1 - Value Distribution - Increase the brand value

7m · Published 16 Nov 12:18

Want to get more engagement on the content you've created?

I know this is a stupid question because everyone wants 😄

The valid question is HOW?

By sharing your links on social media?

By promoting it with social ads?

⛔️ No... A big Nooo

Then HOW?

By doing "VALUE" distribution

Here's how to distribute your content most effectively
➡️ Drive insights
➡️ Add statistics and connect them with your content
➡️ Add a story to create a different angle
➡️ Share key learnings

VALUE distribution helps give the different angel to your content but not the only ones.

Let's take an example: A podcast.

Here are a few ideas that may come to your mind
❌ Share link on social media
❌ Announce it on the blog
❌ Promote it through paid social

Instead, what you can do.
✅ Take 2-3 key learnings or insights and share it
✅ Take 1-2 doubts you have and share them with your own opinion on it (this will open a new discussion and more likely to get engagement🥳)
✅ Find statistics around the podcast topic and connect with the podcast (it will help build trust)

Content alone wins the users.

But, Content + VALUE distribution wins the "VALUE" users.
