Creating the Right Habit Bonfire with Samantha Clarke

16m · Published 17 Nov 14:00

I am super excited today to be talking to you about how to create the right habit bonfire. Now, I'm doing this off the back of self-care week, which is this week. And it's interesting when we think about self-care there are ideas from the old days around, having the long hot baths, or going for a walk in nature, or taking some time to reflect and do your gratitude journal. I love all of that. But let's go a little bit deeper, and scratch beneath the surface and really think about what does affect our ability to treat ourselves with compassion and kindness. To do that in this episode I get you to think about your inner critic and your inner muse, to discover how you can harness them for your benefit.

Leading with Fierce Self-Compassion with Dr. Kristen Neff

45m · Published 22 Sep 14:00

Dr. Kristin Neff is the pioneer of all things compassion. She has been striving throughout her career to really underpin the key principles around how we can be more compassionate with ourselves and how it is useful in our own self leadership, but also leadership of others. Dr. Kristen shares her wisdom on some of the fundamental themes around self-compassion, such as kindness to ourselves, that common humanity that we are all going through, especially now. Also how mindfulness can play a part in building stronger relationships, and us executing and growing in ways that we want to. She's written an amazing new book called Fierce Self-Compassion. And it's an invitation to women to really question how they can harness more kindness in the way that they lead and live their lives so that they can be more visible, claim more power and thrive in and out of the workplace. And I also share for me why it was such an important time to really be talking about this book personally. And what I am aiming to grow towards in my journey around self-compassion too.
