Learning to Swim - Sink or Swim

This episode of I Sell Medicare Plans uses the analogy of learning to swim to demonstrate the methods of success in the insurance business.  There are two ways to learn to swim, 1.  take lessons and learn slowly and gradually and perhaps be relying on the safety net of the instructor for a while, or 2.  get thrown in or jump in feet first and it's sink or swim.  Listen to the contrast of each way to learn and decide how you will "swim" into the deeper waters of Medicare and Final Expense selling.

Where you want to begin depends entirely on YOU.  In this business you can make a good living, a great living or just a living.  You may not want to hear this but everything starts with YOU.  You are the one who has to take action for 2021.  You are the one who has to move--move forward.  You are the one who has to focus and stay focused.  You are the only one who knows what you want to accomplish.

Start by building a Personal Mission for yourself. Then write your goals and break them down by Enrollment Period or by month.  Create the activities to match what is needed to reach the goal each month.  Ask for help.  And, just do it!  Thanks for listening to this podcast.

What's Going On This AEP?

There are changes in the way we conduct Medicare business and in how we submit Medicare business for 2021 AEP.  The pandemic caused by COVID-19 forces virtual in various forms of communications on the plus side, increases working time by eliminating drive time.  On the down side my guest, Sandra Garza, gives us her feelings about not having the face to face touches.  The new normal brings pluses for the most part.  Enjoy!
