In the second episode of Hiring with Heart, Heather sits down with Kerem Durdag. Kerem is the President and Chief Operating Officer at GWI, Great Works Internet. 

Kerem shares valuable insight on the importance of failure in business, what it means to be certified as a B Corporation, and how his company is committed to closing the economic divide within the telecommunications industry. GWI believes that high speed internet access is a human right that belongs to all people, regardless of race or income status.

HNM Systems is excited to announce the launch of our new podcast, Hiring with Heart, hosted by our CEO, President, and Founder, Heather Moyer. In our first episode, Heather sits down with Jason Jones.

Jason shares his heartfelt story of overcoming as well as important lessons for all of us – like how to combat stereotyping. At a young age, Jason was placed in the foster system and joined a gang. He started down a painful path that eventually found him incarcerated. It wasn’t until Jason was in prison, though, that his eyes were opened to some of life’s most important lessons, including the power of community and mentorship. 

Today, Jason is a remote instruction manager at the Last Mile, a non-profit that provides technology training to incarcerated individuals in hopes of preparing them to successfully re-enter the job market.
