A Story in the making of an Individual.

Hosted by Mc SaabiiBoi & Da Angryone

The idea of Chapters is centred on the search to understand an individual. It will be ten-episode per series Podcast, aimed at providing opportunities for guests to share stories, moments or life events that they feel have shaped who they are, memorable experiences that acted as defining or pivotal moments in either their careers or personal journeys. These experiences, or Chapters, may not reflect what the guest is working on at the moment, but should reflect what has helped them become who they are.

S02E08: Lea Neuhoff's Interview

53m · Published 27 Oct 09:00

Born and raised in Paris, Léa was first introduced to music at a very young age through her grandfather, a great music enthusiast himself, who encouraged her to pursue a music education in a music school. There, she was first introduced to classical and jazz and played the piano for over 15 years. Her natural curiosity led her to expand her musical taste to a very eclectic range of genres over the years: from blues to traditional jazz from New Orleans and Arabic music.

At the age of 23, she moved to London to follow a career in
the music industry and cut her teeth for over 5 years at PIAS, one of the
leading independent labels. Four years later, she joined Islington Radio first
as host and producer of her debut radio show Let The Good Times Roll, radio programmer and now Operations Director
for Islington Media where she leads and supervises exciting creative
projects.

S02E05: Phoebe White's Interview

45m · Published 06 Jun 03:00

Phoebe has a powerful voice and is an insightful songwriter. She has been likened to Joni Mitchel, Janis Joplin and Adele.

She writes about social issues, love (who doesn't?) and relationships. Performing her own material and supporting others with backing and top-line vocals since her early teens.

Phoebe is an engaging performer and experienced studio singer and has worked with some of the industry's finest. Focussed predominantly on her own material these days, she can be found gigging across the country, with either just her guitar or her full band "Feeb and the Queen". The set - which she plans to record this year, travels through rock, blues folk, pop and even disco - always delivered with blues gospel vocals and tribal beats.

She has an eclectic approach to musical storytelling and says the music follows the emotion the lyrics need it to convey.

Who's the Queen? Well the music of course. She's also a huge supporter of fellow artists, runs regular jam and open mic nights across London and offers voice and performance coaching.
